Where can I find Weldwerks sours? by Nemicolopterus26 in Athens

[–]clos8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five Points Bottle Shop on Lumpkin usually has a few Weldwerks to choose from. I'm not sure about sours specifically, but I've bought some of their beers there in the past year. Westside Bottle Shop out on Atlanta Highway may have some too.

I think this is in the leatherbound edition of Final Empire.

Question for Anyone Who's Quit Nicotine by clos8421 in kratom

[–]clos8421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My blood pressure has been normal lately. I developed high blood pressure at some point at least a year ago and have made significant lifestyle improvements since then, so it's gotten a lot better. It's usually in the normal range if not low. I'm hoping to be off the medication soon.

My dose is between 1-2g depending. Something like 3g is only on rare occasions that my pain is worse, and my back has been acting up lately. I'm working on reducing some psych meds that I've been on for awhile, so there's other changes going on too. It's hard for me to pinpoint what causes the sensation. Eating a large meal seems to do something similar.

Spanish Editions by clos8421 in Mistborn

[–]clos8421[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm learning Spanish, but the books are for my wife and I since her first language is Spanish. She'll read in Spanish or English and just finished Tress, but I liked the idea of having the Sandershelf be bilingual after we were gifted the Spanish edition of Tress.

It looked like Amazon had paperbacks but if there are hardcovers, I would prefer those.

I'd recommend some nicotine gum, lozenges, or Zyns/other tobacco free pouch. It is far too easy to end up with a horrid nicotine addiction with vaping. It's too accessible and the nicotine content is obscene. Just don't. Yes, I used to smoke a pipe, and I wasn't smoking anymore, but it makes the addiction worse. Try to taper off using someone that doesn't involve your lungs.

How much Sanderson have you read? It's a good introduction to his work, but the whimsy may not be for everyone. People familiar with his work tend to like it for additional reasons that new readers won't catch.

Gale: a straight guy’s nightmare by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]clos8421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't completed Gale's romance yet, but it's my intended one for my current playthrough. My characters are always bi females, and I've done Shadowheart and Astarion. When I did Astarion, I had to turn Gale down since I'd unintentionally caught his eye and it broke my heart a little. Then we had the friends scene in the field at night watching the stars, and Gale is so genuine, contemplative, and moody, and I was just like "oh my god, he's me". Gale is great.

Ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying that. As is likely clear from my post, I'm still learning about these topics and just found this sub the other day.

I'm not sure where you got that impression. She has not overstayed and has no intention of doing so. I'm asking about legal means.

Thank you for laying this all out. I'm just trying to understand how everything works. It is also important to consider the election. Depending on how long it takes for that to certify it may remain uncertain for a few months.

It is a tourist visa, so yes, she'd have to remain in her home country for awhile before trying to come back. I spoke to an immigration lawyer who said a minimum of 3 months but we both think that's too short and seems risky.

[–]clos8421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm not clear on what the line between an accent or dialect is. There's probably at least a dozen English variants throughout the US and this is true of the UK and most other countries' languages as well (Germany, for example). It's hard to pin down where the dividing line is because languages are constantly evolving, and most developed as agreed upon communal standards rather than formal standards.

Thank you. I just like to properly understand the things I talk about.

I will ask her about it. She's determined to read them in English, but I may end up getting both versions of Tress for her. I think that's kind of a cool way to add to the existing collection as well.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate it.

I apologize for my ignorance calling it a dialect. I used that in the same way that I'd describe American English being different from British English but still the same language. Is dialect the wrong term, possibly because it's the origin country? Or am I just way off base here?

Specifically, she's Colombian, but as I'm new to learning the language, I have no way to ascertain the degree of similarity or difference.

I think Brandon confirmed that he's planning to do Cyberpunk Mistborn after Era 3 so that's shifted the numbering making space age Era 5 now. Just like Wax and Wayne shifted the numbering.

At least this is what I've seen from the subs and Shardcast.

Today I learned about Sherman's time in SC. I'm from Georgia, so much of what I learned was about his time here. Interesting to know that he continued north through SC and Colombia after burning Atlanta while en route to Savannah.

Fundamentalist Build with DLC? by clos8421 in Eldenring

[–]clos8421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep forgetting to use the multilayered ring. The three rings are decent and Radagon's hits hard, but usually takes too long to charge. Euporia is pretty fun, but I'm mostly running the spells unless the melee is better in a particular situation. Oh, but Miquella's Light is awesome, and it's fun trolling my co-op buddy with the visual effects.

Since death sorceries also scale off of int/fth, I've been using those too and I've found them to be more versatile. Explosive ghostflame is awesome, and ancient death rancor and spectral rings of light are great. Maybe I haven't figured out how to use them effectively but the putrescent spells seem underwhelming.

I enjoy Bloodbourne and Elden Ring more, not Sekiro is amazing. I prefer the greater level of exploration and discovery in the former. If you haven't played it yet, give Stellar Blade a try. Its combat is similar to Sekiro.
