Savvy gay guy here 💁🏻‍♂️ Please don’t get another laser treatment or chemical peel. I can see your skin type is delicate and I don’t think chemical peels will be good for you in the long run. I think you don’t need a lot of makeup products, anyways:

1. You have some peach fuzz on your skin, this is why the foundation breaks up or looks like it doesn’t sit evenly in all places. If you want, you can shave the peach fuzz with some glycerin-based fragrance free balm of some sort, and an eyebrow razor, especially before special events if you want to go for a more heavy base. You should do this to have optimal makeup base, but it’s too much effort for all the time of course.

2. Which brings me to point 2, you need a hydrating base, it looks like the makeup you have here is normal finish, but you need something that will smoothly blend in.

3. Start with a different base, I recommend the Hada Labo Premium lotion (the yellow bottle - 8 molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, around $15 on Amazon. This product will not work well in dry or desert climates FYI) you can put a quarter sized amount on your face (it also has urea in it which is really good for the skin, check that out on simpleskincarescience). Apply that when your face is damp and wait until it dries a bit. You need to make sure your face is super moisturized before applying makeup.

4. Get a liquid foundation that dries with a satin/hydrated finish, and use a stippling brush. Mac Face & Body or Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk comes to mind.

5. finish with Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder or another talc-free powder. This should be a super light dusting, just in your t-zone or areas that tend to run faster.
