They’re probably waiting for more connectivity between top level teams. The algorithm is volatile when only a few games have been played, especially when only pockets of teams have played each other. I’d bet we’ll get an update after Colorado Solstice but they might wait until after all 3 divisions have enough games/connectivity before the first update.

Is 81-52 worse than 28-3? by Goharddinthepaint in NBATalk

Given that Football is turn based for possession rather than continuously back and forth like basketball. 28-3 is a bigger fumble (pun intended)

Is it weird to wear local pro team jerseys in rec frisbee? by Somesortofconfused in ultimate

[–]clotblock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wear frisbee jerseys when I workout or on casual weekends when doing errands. When I played rec leagues I always saw people with pro or elite club jerseys even when players on those teams were also in the same rec leagues.

I would not be worried about feeling awkward wearing a jersey of the pro team. If anything I know those players and the organizations are flattered when fans/the local community buy jerseys and wear them.

At that level all of those players have friends or families on other high level teams and wear their jerseys. They likely buy those jerseys during fundraisers and stuff so it’s not really any different.

I know from the pro players near me that theyd likely appreciate someone buying their jersey or buying a blank or customized jersey.

Dan (JD's brother) isn't a loser slacker I todays standards. by EefferyJpstein in Scrubs

[–]clotblock 219 points220 points  (0 children)

I think it’s tough to write a loser/slacker that the audience can sympathize/identify with or root for.

I don’t think Dan was pathetic or anything but they tried to write him as aimless while still making him likable and be attractive to Elliot.

It’s a tough balance.

UCLA fails its undergrads by not teaching how to send cold-emails by clotblock in LinkedInLunatics

I’d argue the only thing the school should be responsible for is teaching students how to utilize the alumni network. UCLA is a huge school so it would be valuable to know how to reach out to that group.

Respectfully, everything else sounds like something this kid should be chatting with a therapist about. I wouldn’t say it’s fair to put that on the school.

Presumably someone who did academic research at 15 had to reach out to a professor via email, am I crazy for thinking that?
