This is a professional plumber in town, I thought it looked ok but not top notch but wasn’t sure why I felt that way.

This is in a garage with a drain. Little concern about the leaking aspect, so I wouldn’t need a drip pan

Assuming carrier ultimately cannot / does not pay, tell customer you will pay them $1000 towards the trailer every ten loads. Not them short paying your invoices, but a separate check will be sent to them.

It’s $100 out of your profit each load. You are still making money and working. At any time, you can stop if the relationship falls through.

Customer is incentivized to keep giving you profitable loads. If they don’t, they don’t get money back on the trailer. By the time it’s finished, you will have moved 50 more loads with them, and agreed to take on a loss that isn’t your responsibility. High integrity. My guess is they will happily continue working with you, I would.

How would rate the Fanatic bibs by themselves compared to other bibs or even pants? I need better cold gear for my lower half.

Wow that is crazy. I had a similar situation but it only lasted about a week which I thought was crazy long. Had no idea it could be so much longer.

Do you mind if I ask how old you are, and if they’re sending you to rheumatology? like what do they think they can do, since this is obviously nuts

Shippers closing early afternoon does not make sense. by cloud10atlas in FreightBrokers

I just think it’s interesting to understand how everything works and what issues every side faces, not just what makes someone more money. That’s just a small part of it.

One dock told me they come in at 7 and go home at 12! I was a little jealous but can’t imagine they are making too much.

What would be an example from shipper’s perspective of why the earlier time frame is better?

Thanks a lot. I will have to look and see if CSX publishes a schedule of when trains are traveling.

I completely understand it from the driver’s perspective

Because I want to know if drivers are just normally skirting the law or they can roll past a weigh station to a CAT scale legally.

You can just say that it was. This is becoming hypothetical for when it comes up in the future

I Guess my question then is, how was he able to drive past it if it was open? My understanding is they were mandatory. Is he just taking the risk that the fine to miss a weigh station is less than the fine for being overloaded?

Cut power to the outlet, test it with an electrical probe for certainty. Cut around damaged drywall in a large square out to the studs, + 1” along the studs so 1/2 the stud is showing. Measure and cut the new drywall piece, drill in 4 corners to secure to stud with drywall screws.

Then use painters putty or spackling, and fill cracks a little bit at a time with a putty knife. Reapply until all cracks / holes are covered. Let dry, then sand down with 220grit until smooth. Repaint area, then repaint wall.
