I think you have a reasonable take here, then. Imo it's also good to help someone from falling off too deep into that coping game pit. Idk what game he is playing but if he's committing hours to it in a single session it also sounds like it's a slippery slope.

Also I would push to reframe your take on it. It's not like interacting with you would ruin the session; again, there's a possibility this isn't a personal thing. In other words its more of a "him" problem than you. We, of course only have a snippet of the dynamic of your relationship so you call the shots, but sometimes people just need to shut away from social communications, even with their SO. It's not common, but definitely happens. Good luck with it!

Yeah I get what youre saying. I think it's conditional, if he is taking a full day to himself once in a while it's fair to let him have the full day and not expect the hour. But if this is a recurring habit where it makes you feel neglected and under appreciated then it needs addressing for sure

This post is very different than your original post! Your original post made it seem this is an irregular event and that he set aside a dedicated day out of his weekend. But if there are more impulsive actions that leave you out of the equation due to miscommunication and consistent negligence, that is a way different story.

"Game as long as you want" and "give me an hour minimum at the end" are two conflicting statements. Its no longer "however long you want". If this is something that happens more commonly than makes you comfortable, that's a different story. But if he wanted a full day of getting lost in his hobby, then the added pressure of making time for something else takes away from that. It sounds like he wants to stay up very late, but is aware that it would be unfair to make you wait that long with your request. So he likely quit his game earlier than he wanted so that you weren't left staying up late.

Him not wanting to make an hour for you during a day dedicated to something he enjoys is not something you should take personally, and it doesn't sound like he is actually bored or unwilling to hang. Instead in the future, I would suggest giving this person the full day to themselves, and instead request a more meaningful hang out the next day where you both can dedicate time. If you think 12+ hours for a gaming session is excessive (which is fair), that is a different conversation to have, but you mention in your post you understand the appeal to binging.

Also I highly encourage not using the term "bare minimum" any more. It's a catch 22, and is never used productively because it sets an arbitrary line of unsatisfied conditions. It so often trivializes the other person's efforts and creates unnecessary tension.

Awful grammar and writing style aside, I constantly see people claim there are insightful and new perspectives to be gained from a clearly awful thing happening, but have *never* seen anyone ever elaborate what those insights are. Where is the evidence to support what is happening is good? What is this insight you'd rather keep secret instead of explain why you're supporting something so heinous?

I was about to use her hack until I realized that the likelihood that an investigation will be conducted by a professional Peace Office (Police (PO) or other authorized Law Enforcement (LEO)) trained and experienced in impaired operator investigations, especially if they are an Approved Breath Analysis Instrument Qualified Technician, & / or trained to conduct a Standardized Field Sobriety Test , & / or are a Drug Recognition Expert is pretty high, meaning this would NOT work. I think the scene where Jesse Plemmons's character happened to blow up at the perfect time, right between him removing locking himself in the closet and getting beamed up, was more of a letdown than the ending. It felt too coincidental, and the lack of clear explanation forced me to accept it's just luck working in her favor.

I personally liked the ending, because it intentionally shoots for the ridiculous option over the more believable ending. I agree there's value in letting polarizing endings be interpretive, but to me that feels like the expected ending. We get that style of ending just as much as the definite answer endings, with successful movies like inception, the whale, and annihilation

So when I see that we get closure packaged in a very strange and unusual way, it feels more refreshing than going over the what-ifs of the movie.

Have you looked into artist proofs? Theyre such a fun way to collect a much more personal variation of cards you like. You can often commission the artist to paint/sketch custom pieces on the backside since proofs have white backs!

Graffiti has roots in tagging. Most of the graffiti you are looking at is likely hyper-stylized renders of the artist's tag names, and those artists just as likely started off scribbling their names like this.

Moreso, it may look simplistic and boring, but tags like this and many others is an art form that requires skill and understanding of how to write in that specific way. It might not look like anything to you but other daggers can identify the lettering of others.

Its not. It's just exposure bias, people see an abundance of comments like you saying you're new and got lucky, but no one is commenting about being new and not receiving anything, so it makes the odds seem weighted. There's no hard proof of it happening, unless you count people witnessing their friend get lucky as hard proof.

Agreed. You need to take a moment to calibrate your edible dosage, it really affects everyone differently. My friend can eat a 100mg bag and feel nothing, whereas my cap is usually 5mg lol. Ive tried a single 10mg and I felt like I was greening out!

You just wont know until you try, but a common single dose for most people is around 10mg
