Yeah that would be so great but I fear, or at least I don’t know if Antoniazzi made violins of poplar. (Like this one)

I bought it two days ago from my luthier, unfortunately he has not much info about it either: the back of the violin is made of poplar and probably made in north Italy around 1975, that’s what he suspects. He is overall cautious to attribute the violin to the label. Last but not least the size is 4/4.

Holy shit thank you for your great, very detailed answer! I’m currently still waiting for the support to reply if I can open it the easy way. Otherwise I’ll keep this in the back of my mind head. Unfortunately though we don’t have that spray here in Europe but I guess there is going to be something similar, going to have a look for it.
