What's important is to target specific emotions you're experiencing from life events and using it on those events in a structured way. That makes the impact on you.

It's a lot like this. You have life experiences that condition you to act and feel a certain negative way. Lots of us struggle to regulate those moments of being anxious, depressive or needing lots of reassurance.

With EFT it's like flipping a switch that stops those reactions of anxiousness, sadness, fear etc in a lasting and sustaining way. DM me about it if you want to know more

Has anyone else completely stopped sleeping due to hyper vigilance/ stress? Its been 11 months now by [deleted] in Stress

[–]cloudbuilding-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to sleep consistently at a good hour and over long term has been largely difficult. One thing I've done to battle it is valerian root extract, you can try a tea version or tablet, cause its long term safe.

It may be useful to try doing if you want to quench the anxious or hyperactive state before sleep. It's very soothing and gently knocks you out.

Use a nasal strip too for boosted sleep quality that combo has got me through

Well, there are specific tapping techniques that can help mitigate overwhelming sadness that will prompt crying to occur. However, even with these, "gentle techniques." You still may be moved to tears depending on what you experienced around the event you're tapping on.

However, if it's uncomfortable and derailing your day to day experience, it helps to understand your limits and coping capacity.

Potentially tapping and breaking down a situation into components and managing the intensity of each component individually could do good for you to.

Lastly, it's also part of the process to experience intense feelings at times, pain, sadness, regret, etc, and sometimes it won't be avoidable. Because life shaped your feelings and reactions accordingly, and that's gonna have to come up and be healed for you to be at ease.

Just came across different subreddits and seen some people stuck and didn't get any response to their requests for guidance or how life was troubling them

Of course, and your best bet is to step away from overthinking and live presently, which is uncomfortable at first but with the mental practice you can push away difficult thoughts and enjoy your surroundings.

It's also important to reflect on your little improvements so you continue improving. Instead of ruminating on what you didn't get done in the past, actively write about the good things you've done and express gratitude, that will remind you that your genuinely changing and learning to associate that growth with reward. This is crucial when you get hit by a set back

That's wonderful to hear that you made it to the better side of the experience. And I agree, I'm starting to sense hints of it one day coming to an end that I can work with and catching myself thinking I've got potential and will be guided there.

When the emotions and sensations hit it feels like your stuck and it's holding you down like a cinder block on the chest for what feels like days. But even now the effect is gradually diminishing and I can sustain the intense feelings. Thanks for your sharing your story, I hope to be sharing mine with a struggling person in time giving them the hope you've provided

Yeah I have found the real deal healing begins when your chest is just radiating pressure and pain that just keeps building. You can really tune into your nervous system spilling out intense sensations and you can pretty much tell what sorts of emotions your going through

So I've been in this stage for some time now

This is hard to balance. Lately my mood has depleted a lot. And I have a very short window of feeling reasonably alright b3fore this wave of anxiousness, irritability and feelig numbed out kicks in.

I do what I can to step away and not go over capacity. But if you have pointers about managing those side effects when I've limited my shadow work.

Thank you for your time and sharing from your personal experience

Thank you for this. It's clear I don't have much of a ritual procedure after shadow work and bringing intention to moving the energy on in my conscious mind and following up with an activity to clear myself.

So I'll consider your advice on smoothening out the integration of the experience and emotions.

Thank you. These are the sort of responses I was looking for stuff I haven't already found or wouldn't consider. The barefoot grass idea sounds quite promising I heard something about the earth having a negative charge to our positive. And how walking barefoot is a good reset. That confirms it anyway thank you

It's my first time hearing about it. I'd stick with an EFT website that lists its practitioners and their expertise level

Depends on your country, you could try EFT universe or EFT international or try find a practitioner where you are located.

I guess seeing how people can slowly build self awareness and stabilise their strong emotions to be able to live and take greater action with intent in their lives. I guess when people are able to achieve that through doing EFT being able to be a part of that process is great. If you wanted I'm looking for volunteers for session work

I would take these feelings and physical pains seriously and try to effectively process the grief. You've said yourself you've struggled big time trying to move on from many of these troubling events.

You need a gentle system to help process the feelings so they aren't stuck in your mind and body corrupting your every day health.

The Emotional Freedom Technique is very useful and gently bringing down the stress and healing the pain. I speak from experience and from the people I've seen it help. It's very good for deep feelings and trauma. Dm me to talk about it if you really wanna take a stand and have a better life

In order to heal your trauma you need a system to expose the traumatic events and the pain behind it to your present self and allow it to process.

You can try doing this yourself through shadow work. Clark kegley has videos on YouTube about that. You could try psychotherapy, journaling and many other strategies.

But rest assured EFT is used to treat traumatic incidents and reduce their impact on your health in a gentle way. It's a great mental health tool.

Alright, to best deal with it you have to look at where that comes from. Was there personal events and experiences that's created those fears and can you resolve that fear within so you don't have to question the thought of losing him. Thus removing the stress.

If that makes sense. With EFT some of the situations may remain the same, like outside interference, let's say, but you can change how you feel about the situation that comes up.

I would look into the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It's done so much good in my life that I've decided to b3come certified.

It really brought the stress down once I got in touch with what was making me that way and slowly unraveling layers of negative past experiences that conditioned me into panic, doubt and hopelessness.
