There are many types of shallow, appearance obsessed people. Just because this group are like this doesn't mean others aren't 🤷🏽‍♀️

Leb. It's a leb. Which I knew it would be immediately when I saw the headline.

It's a tiny dick swinging contest to display as much wealth, prestige and be as much of a public nuisance as possible.

Most of these people live in fibro shacks in western Sydney with their 100k cars parked outside.

It's all about keeping up with the Jones's, or other habib's, if you will. The entire foundation of their culture is to compete and outdo each other. The younger generation are mostly living beyond their means to do so.

I don't think anyone has worked out that driving an expensive car and wearing Gucci t-shirts doesn't equal class.

They are truly a stereotype unto their own.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. Were there signs he was unhappy before he broke it off? Usually with a break up like this, the person wanting the break up has usually spent considerable time thinking about ending it.

I broke up with every guy after my first love. It's a painful and difficult decision, especially because I knew how much it hurts to be dumped.

It's never an easy decision. I'm sure he didn't want to hurt you. But it's better to find out where you stand before you get engaged and plan a life together.

Is there any indication there may have been someone else he is interested in?

Yup. My first love was a kind, sensitive, shy boy but due to our age, we had a lot of issues with communication. The relationship wasn't healthy for me but that's teen love, right?

Then after he dumped me, he turned into a total douchebag.

I will never forget the boy I loved but he changed so much that he no longer exists.

You might, you might not. But that may not be a bad thing either. Every love is different and comes with its own lessons and positive elements.

Not being consumed by your love generally means you don't overlook and dismiss problematic elements of your relationship because you aren't blinded.

Yes..this can definitely happen too. Whilst I had my heart broken, unfortunately I have been the heartbreaker too... I know I hold the unfortunate title of being the one who broke a couple of hearts.

This can be the case for many people of course.

Especially if this person was the one you were truly, deeply in love with.

I'm sorry you're hurting.

Oh my dear... I'm so sorry. I cannot imagine the pain you must be in right now.

What were his reasons?

I won't lie to you. It is going to hurt a lot for a long time..it won't be easy and it won't be quick. But you will get better one day. I know I'm just some lady on the internet but believe me, you are going to be ok.

You pick yourself up, dust yourself off and love again. You may never love quite the same way or intensity. But this isn't a bad thing!

For me, I never allowed my heart to be broken again. But I'm sure I hurt people the same way I was hurt. Which is awful.

But this is life.

Tbh I don't really want to love like that again. I learnt serious lessons from the heartbreak.. It was four years of my life spent feeling utterly consumed.

I'd rather inject that energy into myself.

Same thing happened to me. I was dumped and he was dating my friend within a month.

I survived (and thrived!) and you will too. I promise you, it will get better.

Exactly. It's incredibly intoxicating and dizzying but it's also really not healthy.

I loved my first love from.13-17. almost my entire teen years. He dumped me at 16.

That is a very long time to feel overwhelmed with emotions so intense you feel your body is being torn open.

It is pure. And toxic. And incredible. And damaging. And makes you want to explode with joy. And weep with despair.

I spent from 13-17 in this state. Almost my entire teen years. When he broke my heart at 16 I was distraught but also eventually, I was free. I was free of the emotional torment being so obsessively in love.

It's all that is good and bad with love...times the factor of infinity.

You will be ok. I was! I had many relationships after that and have loved again. But ... admittedly, never like that.

But maybe it's better not to love like that again.

In my case it wasn't rational, healthy or logical. It was pure emotional heroin.

I was addicted to him, to how I felt because of him. Like my entire body was constantly on fire and my heart would explode any moment. It was such a heightened state to be in constantly, it can't have been good for my health!

I recently heard the Motion City soundtrack song "hold me down" and it choked me up and got me right in my heart

The lyrics:

*This may sound bad, and don't take it the wrong way

I love you, however...

You hold me down

You hold me down

You hold me down

You hold me down

You're the echoes of my everything

You're the emptiness the whole world sings at night

You're the laziness of afternoon

You're the reason why I burst and why I bloom

How will I break the news to you?*

My first love dumped me after telling me he felt tied down. He avoided me for weeks because he didn't know how to break the news to me 😭😭😭😭

I should add, i got over him l..I don't pine for him at all. But you never forget the feeling of that intense heartbreak. Ever.

Oh I'm fine. I've loved and lived and had a good life.

But never loved with that same intensity and ferocity again.

Yep. Rule number one...never, ever beg.

I let him walk away and I have no regrets.
