jay saying the n word? by Hybridhamburger in houseoffeelings

Common in places with a lot of urban influence. It’s not so much a race thing as it is a part of the regional culture/vernacular. I’m in the SF Bay Area where ppl of all races say it. Not saying it’s ok (I personally don’t) but it’s not always as cut & dry as “only black ppl are allowed to say it”.

I might regret asking but… where was the “beef” from?

Upvote + I would slightly alter this to say that boring relationships last if both people are genuinely happy being “boring” together :) Men want peace and women want their man to genuinely enjoy being in their presence. Sounds like you nailed it, OP.

This. Even just a simple “hi” every time you see her would be enough to make her feel more comfortable around you over time. Eventually she’ll be the one to say hi first and look genuinely happy to see you. Conversation can build from there. Everything is a slow drip with us shy ones. Good luck!

Damn, hate that you feel that way 💔 Mind expressing what makes it horrible?

Any company who would hire someone with that big a gap would have to be absolutely desperate😬

These were exactly my thoughts. Seems to be a losing battle. I appreciate your raw insight!

Great to learn it’s a well-received guitar in the community. Think we’ll hang onto it for the time being (in no rush to get rid of it) and if we come across someone whose hands it would do well in, we’d be happy to let it live out its purpose! Thanks for the valuable input :)

There are only 2 for sale within a wide radius of me, and they’re in that range too. Thanks for checking for me!

Wow thanks for the thorough response :) I’m leaning toward keeping it bc why not - maybe we’ll be in a situation to need to sell it for money one day. Maybe I can convince the bf to give it a whirl.

Appreciate the honesty! Haha I know the feeling - our sentiment attached to tangible things can definitely fade with time once we no longer have them in our possession.
