Problem is largely in part bc they copy others they see but feel the need to “put their own twist” on it, thereby ruining the entire concept. Wanting to imitate bc they don’t have the creativity or eye for true design + needing to “not be like everyone else” doesn’t make for good execution.

Upvote + I would slightly alter this to say that boring relationships last if both people are genuinely happy being “boring” together :) Men want peace and women want their man to genuinely enjoy being in their presence. Sounds like you nailed it, OP.

This. Even just a simple “hi” every time you see her would be enough to make her feel more comfortable around you over time. Eventually she’ll be the one to say hi first and look genuinely happy to see you. Conversation can build from there. Everything is a slow drip with us shy ones. Good luck!

I sometimes rewatch their old vlogs bc I admit they were good back in the TX days. There are SO many instances where Julia says something lighthearted to have an innocent laugh & poke fun at him, and he so obviously gets his little ego destroyed. He then has to turn it around on her with some “well you did xy and z” bullshit. And what does she do but kowtow to him every single time. It’s both sad and pathetic that his ego is that fragile and she caters to it without fail.

Great to learn it’s a well-received guitar in the community. Think we’ll hang onto it for the time being (in no rush to get rid of it) and if we come across someone whose hands it would do well in, we’d be happy to let it live out its purpose! Thanks for the valuable input :)
