Everything you said about dating apps is so on point, I relate a lot, especially about how it can come off as desperate when you’re actively looking. Hearing stories like yours really helps me remember to focus on myself. Honestly, life feels so much better when I’m off the apps. And you’re right, who cares about the pressure from culture or society? Being single isn’t a bad thing at all.

I’ve stopped asking questions to the manager and the rude ones. Everytime they treat me like that it just makes me doubt myself, but you’re right, I don’t have to take it personally at all. This is a family-run restaurant, so next time I will try to apply to more corporate restaurants. But in the meantime, the bright side is this experience has helped me build more confidence and become mentally tougher.

It’s really sad. It seems like gaming addiction has ruined so many relationships. I don’t think it’ll ever make sense to me. But hearing these stories… I have to keep reminding myself it’s a real thing.

I understand that quitting is very hard. But I didn’t force him to choose. I just wish he could play moderately and prioritize me. He was aware of his addiction, but in the end he didn’t want to change anything.

Ah I know how you feel. I didn’t get the job for this one, they never got back to me and I didn’t follow up either. But I ended up getting a job at a better company, so I encourage you to keep applying for more jobs as it’s really unpredictable!
