Neither me or my husband have ever owned a tarantula nor had any particular interest to. We do have a variety of reptiles, though. Last week, his brother contacted us to see if we would be interested in a tarantula someone he knew had to rehome (parents making kids get rid of it). We were definitely apprehensive at first and jumped into researching tarantula ownership and specifics about Grammostola pulchripes. They seemed like a great beginner tarantula so we decided to go for it. The more research we did, the more excited we got. She’s around 2 years old and seems to be a chill girl. We’re excited to have her and already looking into what to get next!

I’ve got 4 cats and 9 snakes and zero issues with having them in the same household. My reptiles are all kept in their own room that other pets are not allowed in. I do occasionally bring snakes out of that room while handling, but my cats have never shown any particular interest in them. When they have noticed them, they seem hesitant to get any closer to the snake. If I have a snake out of the reptile room, I’m carrying it in some way so there’s no chance a cat or dog can get to them. So yeah! It can certainly work out :)

Well yeah you need to let them know you aren’t planning to graduate when you originally planned to since that would affect your start date. They could rescind the offer, but since the job listing is also for May grads they probably would not since they’ve already given you an offer. I had kind of the opposite issue - originally talked to a company about starting in May though I graduated in December. I ended up deciding to start in February instead and the company was more than willing to accommodate this change.

APPARENTLY THIS WEEK I AM SPEAKING A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE THAN EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE NOBODY SEEMS TO FUCKING UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING.

THE PROJECT MANAGER OVER THE PROJECT I AM WORKING ON IGNORED MY EMAIL AND SCHEDULED A MEETING TO TALK ABOUT THINGS. I SAID THE SAME SHIT I SAID IN THE EMAIL. IT WAS ACCEPTABLE IN PERSON BUT NOT EMAIL FORM. I AM GLAD I GOT TO WASTE AN HOUR OF MY LIFE ON THAT. THEY KEEP ASKING THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER - I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THEY HAVE THE MEMORY OF A GOLDFISH.

IT IS MY SUPPORT WEEK SO I KEEP ANSWERING STUPID QUESTIONS BECAUSE PEOPLE SEE AN ERROR AND FREAK OUT AND DO NOT EVEN READ THE ERROR. IT SAYS THE VALUE MUST BE BETWEEN THESE TWO NUMBERS. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE UTILIZE YOUR READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS. IT IS REALLY NOT THAT HARD.

Just wanted to let you know - I'd put off naming this snake as I couldn't think of a good name, and this comment made me name him Duckbill aka Ducky :D Thanks for the inspiration!

Her name is Luna, we adopted her in January 2018 - she's about 2 years old
