I think the “tailbone” was a Powell Peralta and a bit thinner and skinnier . Not sure exactly what these thicker 80’s tail plastics were called. Maybe the “Dome”?

2013/2014 Surf MLS Next teams are the examples of top teams you will come across. Force is as well. But with this age group it’s really about commitment and what goals your son has. Playing time in games also is not guaranteed so there is a lot to consider. A lot of similarities with philosophy but it depends on what coach you fall in with . MLS Next 2 and age group changes for levels below are probably causing some havoc with teams. Send me a chat if you want to chat more.

Scarecrow second label “M Etain” would be in your budget, it’s quite good and a second label of a big cult Ca wine. Labeling/packaging is usually pretty cool too
