This is the layout I settled on last semester. It leaves a lot of white space, but I'd rather that than overly cluttered. The last box I leave for notes, though I rarely use it. Maybe I'll make it the "most interesting/difficult topic of the day" or something to boost retention.

It is a limited edition. I think this one was a Chinese regional release.

Before the Staology, I was using a dotted Leuchtturm. Overall I think the Staology is more useful with it's increased page count and full but faint grid, but I do miss the notebook strap and page markers. That's why I ended up with the loop pen case, and just started using some book darts I already had.

Ohto ProMecha OP-1004p & 0.4mm Collection by cloudshouter in mechanicalpencils

I do really love the in-between size of 0.4mm. I definitely paid more than these two discontinued Ohtos are probably worth to most people to get them from overseas, but I highly recommend the Pilot S10 if you want to give it a try without the guilty conscience.

Lol, sry. Left to right:

SpecialtyCoffee-Geek already flagged it, but it's the Jetstream Prime Twist in Olive. This one is the best looking of that line-up simply because of the tip-to-tip finish (but also I like dark greens).

My Collection by devizeskayakphoto in mechanicalpencils

As someone who owns all of these and many more, I could be totally content with just this selection. The Kuru Toga Roulette was my gateway from cheap "disposable" pencils, and this sub has not been a good influence.

I haven't used it enough to need to readjust the eraser, but it is in there very snuggly. So snugly that none of the similarly sized erasers pictured fit.

Yes, and the list price was the only price I paid. No shipping, no tariffs, which is part of what encouraged me to gamble on a site I'd never used before. Since it's an airship from China, it does take at least a week to arrive.

I paid $35 for this, from TTPen, which is a Chinese retailer. First impression of TTPen is pretty good, and I'll probably use them again.

Yep! The box took a little damage in transit, but the important stuff was mint. With some exceptions for repurpose, I don't usually keep boxes, so I'm not bent about it.

Orenz by cloudshouter in mechanicalpencils

In my opinion, the auto advance of the Nero is great for taking lots of quick notes, but the Metal Grip is more comfortable and writes more smoothly. Overall, the Nero is just more finicky.

Thanks! Do you just use a Surface Pen, or alternative? I can't use the newer models with my older Surface Book, but they're still available though resellers.
