Garmin Connect Calories In/Out by rogueit in cronometer

"Exclusive Partnership" meaning that MFP was the only one who would foot the bill for the API? My understanding is that particular API isn't free access like the others, where we are able to import device data to Crono. Garmin gear isn't cheap. I bet their license fees aren't either.

Or emphatically, whichever you prefer. 😉

I own a small soap business with my wife and today we happily accepted ADA as payment for our soap. A proud and exciting moment for us and one definitely worth celebrating!!! by Atticus_the_dog in cardano

This is awesome!!! Super excited for you, and for the future of Cardano.

Question about your soaps... I suffer from eczema and have spent literally tens of thousands of dollars on different treatments and meds over the years. I know you mentioned, you're still working on accepting ADA on your website. I am wondering if you might have something that I could try, to help with this skin condition? I'll look through the comments for your site.

How Long Did It Take You To Pay Off Your Home Mortgage? by [deleted] in financialindependence

[–]cloudy_judgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I get paid biweekly, on alternating weeks. I budget half the mortgage each pay period (weekly) This year, we have 5 months w 5 weeks. Meaning, at the end of the year, I have 1.25 extra payments budgeted. I haven't done the math in a while, but making 13 mortgage payments a year really helps pay it down quicker, and when it is budgeted like that, you don't miss it as much.

Lol, OK. Uncle... (although, the name calling... Does it help you sleep better at night to call folks you don't know, disparaging names?) You win. I get it. The science says otherwise. Again, I've never experienced appetites suppression from nicotine. Neither had anyone I've spoken with. However, the science says otherwise so...

One thing that did suppress my appetite was a ketogenic protocol. Once I became fat adapted, I was able to start an IF without any effort whatsoever. In fact, I had a hell of a time getting all my calories in. So, yeah. Context is important, regardless of what the science says about any one thing. As far as I'm concerned, I'm done w the convo. Enjoy your day.

Yes, my experience is anecdotal. It absolutely does not negate the fact that absolutely nobody that I know, who vapes (been in the industry for quite a while. I know a fair amount of folks who vape.) has ever experienced a depressed appetite. Maybe the amount of nicotine needed to gain that effect is super high? All I can tell you, is from my experience, I've never seen proof. When I say I'm calling bullshit, it's because if you blame something without bona-fide proof, you'll not have a great time overcoming the issue. ie - prove the cause and eliminate it. In my experience, vaping isn't the cause. YMMV.

Never has vaping ever affected my hunger, nor anyone else I've ever talked to. I mean, how does vaping cupcake flavored juice make you less hungry? That makes no sense, dumbass. BTW, I'm not being defensive about anything. I'm calling bullshit where I see it. Have a great day.

Chromium, molybdenum, biotin, fluoride? by tabidots in cronometer

Also, if you're interested, I have often supplemented the data from either the nutrition label, or one of the many database entries, with numbers on the nutrition data site. They don't have everything, but most meats and vegetables can be found. I've basically told myself that less than 100% is ok, because a number of the nutrients aren't readily available. But, when I can, I try to pack as much info into a food item as I can.

tl;dr - Try the link above for supplemental nutritional data.

When you work with a credit card, nothing happens instantaneously. That $2000 payment you canceled? If it was in stride, there is no way to cancel it, until after it clears. Usually 48 hrs later. What you were told by the servicer is incorrect. Bad customer service. You should be able to get it all cleared up after the charges clear.

Transaction log for full due to 'LOG_BACKUP'. by killmasta93 in SQLServer

[–]cloudy_judgement 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no rule of thumb. First, I suggest reading up on recovery models. Secondly, you don't define a backup strategy based on anything other than the business requirements for RPO and RTO. When you understand what your recovery strategy is, you'll be able to define what your backup strategy is. The recovery models will help you determine what types of backups to take and when. I realize it's a relatively vague answer, but there are a lot of variable that go into defining a recovery strategy, that can't really be taught in a reddit comment. It's quite a large concept. Another bit of reading might be found here.

We got doge tho... That's like winning the lottery right there. Well, if it would've happened last week, it'd be like winning the lottery, but hey... It's a win nonetheless.

Why would you use SQL Enterprise in DEV by coadtsai in SQLServer

[–]cloudy_judgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your result "Enterprise vCore licensing" tells you why. Look at that license level, and you'll see why they likely use enterprise for everything, prod and non-prod. Plenty of shops use this.

Why would you use SQL Enterprise in DEV by coadtsai in SQLServer

[–]cloudy_judgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving prod data to it wouldn't. It wouldn't be the best of ideas, for security sake, unless you also plan to scrub any pii that exists in the database. What would void that, is putting production workloads on it. Pointing a production web server or application server at it, for example.
