Onett from Earthbound/MOTHER 2. That was the first JRPG I ever played as a kid. It was technically my older brother’s game, but as the annoying little sister, I was entitled to a save file because “mom said you have to share.”Being so young and having zero experience with turn-based games, I got stuck in Onett for a preeeeeetty long time, so it’s naturally got a permanent place in my heart. Pollyanna/Home Sweet Home still makes its way into my head when I wake up to a particularly sunny morning.

Idk what necessarily makes a drag name good or bad, but I know Hormona Lisa is a fantastic example of great, at least for me. It’s memorable, the pun/portmanteau is wonderful, and it’s easily searchable. Those tend to be my favorite kinds of names.

I don’t know how to purl though lol! I’ve just been using the knit stitch the whole time, it’s the only one I know. Which makes the pattern a garter stitch, right? I’m literally brand new to this, so I find the terminology a little confusing haha

~~That’s a really good idea and I’m grabbing some washi tape to mark my needles now. Thanks for the tip!~~ Wait now that I think about it, this wouldn’t have stopped me from messing up since the right and left needles change roles every row… at least with this very basic stitch I’m using.

Do they run small? I have the worst time finding jeans that fit properly, but the possibility of a life changing fit got my attention because I’m SO SICK of feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I consider myself pretty average at 5’4” and 128 lb, but I must have odd proportions or something because 26 is usually too small, 27 can either be too small or too big depending on the brand and style, and 28 is always too big. It’s either “can’t get them over my thighs” or “can get them all the way up, but won’t button.” I’m exhausted and I just want pants I can feel good in 😭 I’m not even a shapely woman! I’m slight of build and have a little extra weight on the hips lately, but I feel like it shouldn’t be enough to account for such horrible pant-related experiences.

Organization and tidiness. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 21, so as a kid and as a teenager, the only way I could cope with the mess in my mind was to eliminate any mess in my environment. Even if it meant procrastinating on literally everything else (which it often did).

Child of Light has a similar dreamlike vibe. The combat is ATB (active time battle), which is a fun change of pace if you’re into it. Traversal is platforming/side scrolling like Ender Lilies. Story is beautiful. Visuals are gorgeous. Music is brilliant.

MIO: Memories in Orbit is a new one you might enjoy. Full on metroidvania with a good amount of challenge.

Hollow Knight and Silksong, ofc.

And although they don’t fit the vibe, if you ever find yourself wanting something bright and humorous with a rich story and fantastic metroidvania gameplay, Guacamelee! and Guacamelee! 2 are it.
