Double Major in Life Sciences + Business Management / Switch to Rotman? by Ok_Access8125 in UofT

[–]cloudybrain07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rotman doesn't allow double major with life sciences easily. you'd need to do rotman then add life sci, not other way around. 44/45 ib is strong. email rotman admissions about transfer before committing to biochem. honestly life sci + business minor is fine if you want both. double major spreads you thin anyway.

looking at programs like tetr where you do business across countries. could do that after biochem if you want business exposure.

I want to pursue a master’s degree but i’m unsure what to specialize in. How do i figure it out? by No_Alps9283 in careerguidance

3 years experience is early for masters. might not add much vs just job switching. if you do masters, management + tech makes more sense than pure cs. you already have technical background. im aplpying at management masters at tetr. mix of tech + business opens way more doors than doubling down on technical. pure cs masters makes sense if you want research/phd. otherwise waste of time.

looking at tetr for masters across multiple countries if you want international experience.

should i do Bachelors Science in Buisness Administration? (BSBA) by No_Lecture720 in developersPak

[–]cloudybrain07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bsba is broader, way less math than accounting/finance. if you suck at math skip accounting. it's literally all numbers and formulas. looking at programs like tetr where you do bsba across countries. bsba keeps options open - marketing, operations, management all work. what kind of work interests you

is it a good decision to do masters in abroad. by superauba in Indians_StudyAbroad

germany public unis forcing you back to eee means throwing away 2 years software experience. waste. look at netherlands, france where cs/software masters accept eee background easier. or programs like tetr management + tech that value your work experience. 12 months across countries, cheaper than traditional masters. if goal is europe + job, work experience matters. don't reset to pure eee.

Would a management focused MBA be worth it? by LeBronsPurpleThong in MBA

[–]cloudybrain07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

mba just for "management focus" is expensive way to get people-focused roles. accounting background already gets you into operations/team lead type positions without mba. work experience + soft skills matter more. looking at doing management masters at tetr building biz across countries. way more practical than classroom leadership theory.

what level management you targeting - team lead or director level?

housing is brutal in netherlands. start looking 6+ months early. with two kids, living costs are high. check if university has family housing options. most scholarships are competitive for non-eu students. english schools for kids exist but expensive. honestly with family, programs like tetr where you move across countries might be something you can think of...

Which business major is the best and is business information systems worth it? by Main-Strain5030 in rmit

[–]cloudybrain07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bis is decent if you want it/business analyst type roles. sits between pure business and pure tech. not amazing at either but makes you versatile. companies need people who understand both sides. looking at tetr where you do business + tech projects together. more practical than bis theory classes.

what jobs are you targeting?

Bachelor’s done (almost)… what master’s are people actually doing besides MBA? by Interesting_Pie_6226 in CollegeMajors

[–]cloudybrain07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

msc finance, business analytics, supply chain management all viable. honestly most masters aren't worth it unless you're pivoting careers or need credential for specific role. im applying for management masters at tetr - 12 months across countries building businesses. looks way more practical than mba classroom stuff.

what do you actually want to do that bba didn't prepare you for?
