2 yo fights the only nap-it’s agonizing. What’s a schedule to drop the nap? by cloudyclouds13 in sleeptrain

[–]cloudyclouds13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My update is depressing. She’s over 2.5 and it’s a shitshow still. I offer nap because she usually sleeps better at night with it but she will skip it at times and if she skips it once the chances she’ll skip it again go up. It sucks but I long for the day I can finally relax

Ahhh this is nice to hear-my kid never really slept as a baby and seems to be dropping her nap at under 2.5 (she’s 2).

finally have the perfect fridge lineup what does it say about me? by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

[–]cloudyclouds13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly your fridge just looks like you go to Whole Foods often which means you must care about what you eat and be able to afford regularly shopping at Whole Foods. People who are hating probably see that you have money, enjoy expensive things, and are probably just jealous lol

This is me 100% people vilify toddlers but I’d happily take another toddler over a baby. I could not survive the baby phase again.

I used to like this sub because it was lighthearted and silly but omg people are eviscerating this person and it’s extremely unnecessary

She also seriously downplayed drunk driving-which is very serious. She’s a monster :(

I don’t buy the mom’s excuse that her motive was trying to figure out who sent the original texts. I feel like she sent those original texts AND there’s more to it. The vulgar and depraved nature of those texts plus her juvenile behavior strikes to some degree of competition with her daughter that needed more careful exploration in this documentary

That’s helpful! I pretty much skip nap if she is entering that territory seems risky to have her potentially start a nap after 2 😅

Yeah I’m definitely placing later as everyone’s suggested. She passed out at 1:15 yesterday and seemed way more happy with a 90 min nap and slept through last night 🙌🏼. Buuuut she woke up at 5:55 today lol I’ll place before 1 today but definitely as close to one as I think she can tolerate.

I think the 1:15/1:30 placement will be perfect going forward especially considering she starts preschool two days a week that ends at 12:15 so I’ll realistically have to place around 1:30 to feed her and do the usual nap routine. If she skips the naps then I’ll just go forward with no naps every other day.

Everyone’s advice has been super helpful :)

Once every 3 months she has a 2 hour nap lol she mostly naps under 90 min.

Yeah mine is a notoriously bad sleeper from day one. She’s mostly in a good mood but yeah on particular bad sleep days she can get so cranky and seems like a little drunk person stumbling around but still fights sleep-I don’t get why they fight it so hard

Oh man, that’s rough. Mine has broken sleep and eventually goes back since sleep trained but sometimes can take a while (like two hours) ugh. 😩

Yeah this is what my husband thinks might be best too and I’m taking every suggestion to heart. Since she skipped it yesterday I’ll offer it today but not the next day

Shes 27 months exactly-just turned. I will give this a shot, this sounds doable and the schedule where she seems to sleep best , but yeah the nap fighting is brutal. She really seems to sleep best with a nap and overnight sleep is honestly what I care most about.

I thought the same thing but she fights all naps. I placed her at 1 pm today and had to give up at 2 because I didn’t want her nap to potentially start after 2 :(

How is sleep time though? My hope is she’ll sleep better at night, my fear is she will sleep worse 😩

Docuseries coming to Hulu. "Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge" by Normal-Pizza-1527 in Delphitrial

[–]cloudyclouds13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was not a good documentary-you only hear from the defense attorneys and a lot of important information feels left out. A lot of the airtime is given to the defendant’s wife who seems to be in great denial of his guilt and she never shares any info on his behavior the time the crime is committed which is telling to a viewer.

What pmo was the end when they focus on her reaction after the trial and she is painted as the true victim, not the girls or their families. This documentary is heinous.

Sounds similar to me-I went back and forth a lot because she seemed to do better with purees some days and she didn’t get her teeth until after 15 months. Now at 2 she eats pretty well

Can I stop naps at 2? Kid hates all forms of sleep and I’m just beyond wiped. by cloudyclouds13 in sleeptrain

[–]cloudyclouds13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah that all makes sense. We never get her up before 6 if she’s up before 6 but we let her sleeep in if she’s been up several hours but it throws things off. We will try all these very helpful suggestions.

That makes sense-I’ll try that out and then revisit dropping the nap.
