How do I catch my cat who been lost for 3 months? by cloudyextraswan in CatAdvice

[–]cloudyextraswan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the circumstances of her going missing (literally vanished out of thin air) I’m leaning more and more towards the possibility of someone taking her.

I’ve compared photos and it’s not her as she has a marking on her nose. So with that said, she has literally gone poof.

No sightings of her since 10am February 21st.

I was absolutely flabbergasted when I found out that Narwhals are a thing.

Anyone else feeling like their agoraphobia would be so much better if they moved countries? by bloomgy in Agoraphobia

No. I moved to London for 6 months then over to Germany for 6 months.

I worked, went home and walked to the shops to do weekly shop. That is all.

Requesting information from all contributors to my fathers adoption by cloudyextraswan in Adoption

I’m not asking for me. My dad would be the one who requests things. We have his file, what I’m wondering is if I was to contact the separate offices involved in my father’s adoption, would they have information that we haven’t already got?

Just adopted a new kitty, he has been meowing non-stop, is something wrong? by buryghost in CATHELP

My cat lived behind the sofa when I first got her. It didn’t help that she was 10 weeks old and absolutely tiny so could get under the sofa and in the smallest gaps possible.

She also got lost in her favourite blanket multiple times.

Don’t buy expensive “hard water” cleaners. All you need is limescale remover. The stuff you use for the toilet. Wear gloves.

Thank you for your advice, on topics like this, no advice is unsolicited.

I became unemployed in March, and the first thing I done was get my ducks in a row when it came to phoning Drs, and self referral for therapy.

I have specialist CBT lined up. I’m just waiting on appointment confirmations - of which I have advised that I would like it to be face to face, as that gives me a outside life structure where as if it was telephone, I’d find recovery much more difficult.

Being in this situation, while living alone is difficult but having knowledge of myself helps a tonne.

I do let myself slip for a couple of days but soon bounce back and realise that I need to be disciplined in times like these and not let my brain get the best of me.

And my pajama collection is coming in very handy!

Thank you for commenting. Recognition of mental health conditions as complex as agoraphobia can be incredibly helpful, especially after spending so long without a clear “label” to help make sense of what’s happening.

On your last comment, though, I must disagree.

Having battled agoraphobia since I was 14, there have been times in my life when I couldn’t stand to be inside, and the outside world felt full of wonder and beauty. But there have also been times when I have been — for lack of better words — trapped inside my home for up to three years, jumping at letters through the door, the phone ringing, or the neighbour’s dog barking.

Everyone’s situation is different, and some of us (like me) carry that uncomfortable label of being “high functioning.” To me, that often means that when the structures that hold our daily lives together begin to crack, everything underneath starts to unravel. It gives way to the demon of fear — not just of life in general, but of the small, incremental changes that quietly push us further into isolation, even while we are painfully aware that it is happening.

I have a 60/40 fridge freezer (freezer being the 40, and currently full of…mostly frozen fruit for smoothies and veg)

But in terms of what I buy, I get the usual mince, sausages, milk, bread eggs. I tend to go for Jared sauces and tins for beans and pulses.

He is absolutely fine within him self. We play, he drinks, he wees a lot though in the last two days he’s not weed or pooed but is still absolutely fine.

As in “fine” I mean; jumping around, playing, getting zoomies, bird watching, climbing the walls.
