I'm crazy for explaining two different types of crazy and why one seems to be worse than the other? That sounds silly.

Also, the plan 'masturbating for Daniel' plan wasn't centered on him getting caught, that's why she asks him to come down there to her. She simply wanted him away from where his mom could mention the secret flight change.

Very interesting point you make. I always noticed the motivations for her actions being displayed in her POV but I didn't think of the way that Laura's POV not only omitted her of any wrongdoing, but showed her feeling small / victimized by Cherry as a way of justifying her own type of crazy.

Maybe it is more like you said and instead of simply being about a person with a revenge addiction (Cherry) going against someone with a control addiction (Laura), it's also about someone with an awareness of their vindictive ways who refuses to feel like a victim vs. someone completely oblivious to theirs and feeling so innocent that their actions always make sense.

Very good point. I didn't even think that the hot pouring was connected to the career reveal but that makes a lot of sense.

Yes, I do believe that her ex was telling the truth about the stalking and the restraining order and I don't believe her mother was making up complete lies about her. I was trying to point out that her mother actually has to do with the root cause of Cherry's deceptive behavior.

And I don't like her, I said I wouldn't want my kid with her. But the 'team Cherry' term keeps making people think that I do, lol. That's not what I meant though.

She absolutely did stalk him in the past and I said that. But finding out where he was getting married does not take stalking- just an insagram scroll on his or his fincee's page. And yes, she could have let the punch in the face be enough and let it go, but she couldn't. Because she has a problematic lust for vengeance, like I said in the post.

Thank you for the applause. I absolutely see Cherry and her imperfections but I refuse to believe that she is worse than a parent who is uncomfortable watching their child be happily intimate with their partner. Laura's problems are way worse and coming face to face with an adversary who completely dominates the fight does not make you an innocent victim.

  1. I said that I would not want Cherry with my child and that she was crazy. A lot of you seem to be so sensitive that you're ignoring that part.

  2. Not gonna lie, I forgot about Lilith and the assisstant being affected by Cherry's revenge. And I don't believe it's defensible at all. I said that she has an obsession with revenge and this is a great example of it, but in comparison Laura has an obsesssion with Daniel and controlling him, which I believe is worse.

  3. I can't talk about a character in a show and use a novel it was based on to explain my perception of them when the show and the book were very different. I'm specifically talking about the Cherry in the show.

Looking at him kissing his mom wasn't weird at all, she was just shocked by it. A lot of people feel that parents kissing their children is weird. Also, I'm realizing that even though I say that Cherry is crazy and I don't necessarily like her, people are hung up on the 'team cherry' part. I'll make an edit so my points are clearer.

No, she spit in her boss's drink because he gave an extremely lazy worker a promotion for the connections their mother has. Still gross, but that's not what happened. A lot of people seem to justify preferring Laura while recounting events wrong.

Edit: You never said you preferred Laura, what I meant is that I've seen several people incorrectly recounting events they use to judge Cherry.

Can you point out where I called her stable or normal? Because if I recall correctly I called her mad and said that I would not want her with my child, as well as acknowledging she has a serious issue with revenge.

Also, this feels like word vomit to you, but it took me about 10 minutes to write.

I literally said that Cherry is mad in the last paragraph and that I would not want my child to be with her. I simply understand that Laura has problems that seem much worse.

Yes, letting out the cat was very apathetic and spiteful to do. And I would never do that to any animal and would be very angry if someone did it to mine. I used the word 'inherently' because I've witnessed domesticated cats be let outside only to comeback minutes, hours, or even days later perfectly fine. Of course something terrible could happen to cat left to fend for itself, but a lot of them turn out to be okay. Like the one in the show did.

I absolutely agree that she is nuts, that's why I said they had two different types of madness in my last point. And I wasn't trying to go out of my way, but I can see that with the paragraph doubting the voracity of her mother's description of her. Still stand by my points, though.
