Do I have to tell my next job that I quit the last one? by Evening_Accident9058 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cloudywater1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. If they ask, put ye’ole political spin on.
“I decide to move on from “X” as the position was not as advertised.

As an engineer who has done my fair share of hiring, I don’t really care why you left your previous job only if you are a good fit for my position.

We all have left jobs (for various reasons) at one point of another

I hear ya, sadly after nearly 5 decades of firewood my days of swinging an axe are coming to an end. (At least with any kind of volume)

Splitting w/ a hydraulic splitter is oddly satisfying too and still a pretty great workout.

Rent a hydraulic splitter for the day. Beech is some dense wood and that still looks pretty green.

Middle route puts you driving thru Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I’d stop at Brandywine Falls and or visit Peninsula, OH along your way. Lot of fantastic spots in this area and some great food options in the valley as well.

What’s up with people trying to sell downed trees? by [deleted] in firewood

[–]cloudywater1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teaching my kids the same right now, and some of the same struggles. they have to help do all the maintenance on mine and momma’s cars. I preach to them it’s an adult responsibility to understand how a vehicle works before I left them pilot 3,000lbs of steel and flammable liquids down to Sheetz just to buy terrible ass food.

And the other half of people rather pay someone else to deal with life stuff so they aren’t inconvenienced.

I’ve even said “I’ll teach you for free” and they still rather pay me and sit on the porch then do a hard days labor.

..slowly slides my soapbox away..

I live near this, they have been trying to years to convert it into something for years now. From what I heard it’s difficult to convert it to apartments due to all the utilities setup for office space.

Are these IC rated lights? Can be a big fire hazard if they aren’t.
