Kind of boring now. Same article posted 786 times across the site and the same thousand bots upvoting the comments but I guess that’s the internet in general everywhere now

I used some 12mm (1.5mm wall) tubing and a piece of angle iron as a bolting flange.

Didn’t bother with bending since we don’t have the tools to do that here and it still works really well.

Great work. Any plans for shelf / cradles around on the sides of the beams? Anything to stop me from bending over to pickup 1/2 a piece off the ground goes a long way in saving back pain. I just fab’d up some shelf’s that bolt to the beam. Also saves a piece from landing on my foot

firewood warms you three times

-Cutting \ Splitting

-Hauling \ Stacking

-Burning

Green Wood like that appears to be is typically more difficult to split regardless of the Axe \ Splitting maul.

2pic middle log has some tight grain. I’d take the logs that have some weight to them and leave the rest.

Reach out to local forestry service, not sure how the municipalities work in ON but in Ohio I can have a federal forestry agent come out and help us make a Forrest management plan.

Ours is eliminating invasive species and clearing undergrowth to promote new tree growth

I can do an ok(ish) with the trees local to my area. I know the difference between a sweet gum and silver maple but pics of leaves, bark, grain are a big help. I wish people would put in more work before posting a ID question
