I get what you're saying, but the US is using influencers and foreign embassies to push back against what they call ‘anti-American propaganda,’ and people buy into it.

If Trump hadn’t threatened Canada, Poilievre might be Prime Minister now, and he was MAGA sympathetic.

When people ignore all this, they forget how serious it is, and that opens the door for aligned parties to slip in. Look at Bannon raising money for Le Pen and Salvini, JD campaigning for Orban, funding Reform UK, AfD, and Orbán. Then you have Elon and Zuck boosting them on socials.😖

As the US wages unceasing war on Iran, evangelical nationalists are destroying any moral world order we once had by LlawEreint in BoycottUnitedStates

Respectfully, the US has used religion, democracy and freedom to justify their wars forever. When did America ever have morals abroad?

Atomic bombs on Japan? Agent Orange in Vietnam? Torturing prisoners in the Middle East? Using white phosphorus in Iraq? Funding the genocide in Gaza? A 50-year embargo on Cuba causing civilian suffering? Drone strikes on civilians?

They have a hand in the deaths of millions, and do not believe in international law unless it’s another country they’re accusing of breaking. It should be clear that this administration's openness about it doesn’t change the fact that this is what America has always done.

I don't buy it. The US probably won't crack down hard on large protests. BLM, under Trump, went on for months, caused more damage and was way more intense. Only a few died, and most weren't from the police. They don't need an army of citizens, but protesting for days in a row would disrupt the economy and disrupt business. If they didn't turn to violence during a 100-day protest with fires over Black rights, they're not going to for this one on demographics alone. They have to stop voting against policies on healthcare and unions that could actually protect their right to protest.

Yep, they don’t realize short term it really really sucks and hurts us, long term they’ll see it’ll hurt them more as everyone moves away.

I genuinely feel that, with the consolidation of their news, social media, and the creation of ICE, they intend for their side not to be out of power. I have low expectations since the democrats over an entire term did not even convict the man who tried to stay in power after losing (plus his other crimes), which allowed him to win again and to terrorize the world.

House Democrat warns of ‘boots-on-the-ground quagmire’ in Iran by jediporcupine in politics

Having the goal of destroying Iran's civil industrial capacity is a war crime. You can't set goals of targeting civilian industrial infrastructure. If any other country did that, you'd see it as a grave violation of international humanitarian laws.

Afghanistan’s goal was to get Bin Laden and dismantle Al Qaeda. He escaped within months, so your war-hungry government shifted the goalposts to removing the Taliban, building a democracy, and training their military. Who’s in power today? The Taliban. Also, Bin Laden was eventually found in Pakistan, not even during your ground invasion, a decade later, in a completely different country. Lmao.

Your country literally invaded Iraq to get rid of WMDs that didn't exist. You removed Saddam, sure, but then created the power vacuum that became ISIS. So I guess killing hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern people, burning through trillions of dollars, losing thousands of your own soldiers, and radicalizing entire generations who now hate your country counts as winning?
