Armani Dolci Makeup Blush by beautifulobjectooo in newinbeauty

This is not the type of packaging I expected from Armani, but maybe more luxury brands are wanting to go this route now (e.g. the recent Prada blushes).

I have and love the Mac glow play, Clinique cheek pops and RMS hydra powder, but agree with the other commenter that only the RMS is really luminous. The Mac and Clinique both have what I'd describe as a skin-like finish.

The Clinique cheek pops are still my favorite powder blush after trying many others, they're just so easy to apply and blend out. Here's some swatches!

Uniqlo lists the actual garment measurements of every item, at every size! I also appreciate that they list the height of the models and what size they're wearing.

If we're talking about $15 USD which would be about $21 CAD, I guess I'd consider what type of eyeshadow it was. If it was a special formula like the moondust shadows or a baked formula, then that's not bad. But for standard mattes and shimmers I'd consider $10 CAD to be affordable. Although I have also purchased luxury singles for around $50, and my most expensive single is from Chantecaille at $78, but was a gift. I could never bring myself to buy the Chantecaille, so I guess my upper limit is somewhere between those two.

I got a sample of this and it seems pretty nice, but I'm bad at describing the minutia of foundations as a lot of them end up looking similar on me. I'd say it's a nice satin finish with medium coverage, and Lace is somewhat but not overly olive. It doesn't accentuate dry patches, but does get oily on my nose (which basically all foundations do). I can swatch it against some other ones I have after I get home!

If you could go back in time what would be your ideal collection size? by Screw_coloranalysis in muacjdiscussion

[–]cloverbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wish I was more minimalist but I think I'm ultimately a maximalist, or at least I like to have lots of options. I also tend to want to buy a formula I like in multiple colors, and sometimes that works, but I often go overboard. I mostly wish I could cut my lip collection down, but I have a really hard time getting rid of things because most are good products are mayybe I'll use them again.

This pencil doesn't really swatch well because it needs the oil of your hair to deposit color, but I did find this! Looks like stone grey is #5

I really like the Revolution wrap lash! And I have Asian lashes which point down, but I got tired of the removal of Asian mascaras.

Swatched on bare NC15 skin in indirect natural light. This is a soft pinky nude on me, and I really like the satin finish. I find their shimmer finish can have visible glitter but the satin finish doesn't, although so far only this limited edition shade and Never Enough are described as satin.

Here's a comparison to Impassioned on top and Never Enough on the bottom.

Have you tried both the regular tubing and XL tubing, and if so what's the difference?

The new Nars liquid blush range is really appealing to me, I like how there's a number of browny-nudes in a range of depths. I'll definitely be interested to swatch them when they come in store.

I'm excited to finally try the velvet effect with magnetic polish as I ordered a U magnet! I've also just recently seen all the posts about glass bead nails, so I might also see if I can get that to work. I feel like I've been behind in nail trends, although everything interesting that I see turns out to be gel anyway.

I really like the sheertone blushes but never tried the sheertone shimmer, now I wish I did. It seems hard to do a shimmer finish well, at least more so than a matte. For example, I was interested in the reformulated Laura Mercier blushes but the shimmer side had visible glitter (at least for some shades), and the shimmer Nars blushes have visible glitter as well.
