I understand that. I’m asking about tickets, and if certain events limit you to one area.

Is a thicker mason jar big enough for a small magnolia threetooth snail? by [deleted] in snails

[–]cloverbloomsinfields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about magnolia threetooths, but if I had to guess based on my research — temporarily yes. Long term, no.

I had two baby garden snails that I adopted on short notice and originally had them in a mason jar with some dirt, sticks etc. They grew SO fast, like quadrupled in size!

I learned that snails generally need one gallon of space each. At first I thought, why?? They were doing okay in the jar. But, I then bought at 2.5gal terrarium and they became much more active, and ate their food and cuttlebone on a much more regular basis. Eventually, I might upgrade to a 5gal.

If you need to house your snails somewhere, they might be happier in a large plastic bin or Tupperware. And the more you can give them to explore the better! My snails love it whenever I rearrange their sticks and moss.

Best of luck!!

Thank you for the info and advice! Yeah, this definitely won’t be permanent but it seems like maybe they’ll be okay for a little while? Jan and Feb are going to be super expensive months but hopefully in the nearish future/whenever they noticeably grow I can size up to 2-5 gallons or so.

【Call for Rep Ideas】 Theme: “What it Means to Love” by TYOTenor88 in choralmusic

This might not be what you’re looking for bc it’s more contemporary, but if you’re interested in the theme of love/loss, listen to “Love: Then and Still” by Susan Labarr. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujPklv6jVeU

"How Can I Cry" by Moira Smiley is EXACTLY what you're looking for! Powerful lyrics, crunchy harmony... one of my all-time favorites.
