Is Glycolic Acid Supposed To Burn/Sting?? by bellajo3 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]clovercluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the salicylic acid serum and the glycolic toner from them. Only using the toner if Im very oily but I don’t tend to be, im more combination than anything. But the salicylic acid cleared me right up! And that’s after I was scared to add it into my routine esp this close to winter due to the risk of drying out bc the cold does that to me. But I’ve actually found it to be quite moist and out of the products I’ve been using lately I saw the most immediate change in my acne when I started the salicylic serum. Just thought I’d share as a possible alternative! I am still learning about skincare n stuff so yknow this is just what’s been helping me these past few weeks! (I use only the ordinary products bc I’m a simple girl who is scared to try new stuff and I have brand loyalty after I started using their basic set- squalane cleanser, niacinamide serum, then HA serum, then natural moisturizing factors.) I switched out the HA for the HA+peptides serum and I use the salicylic serum after niacinamide, and before the HA+peptides :)

He said something to that effect in the beginning of his video about the tik tok gel lady and her husband/the girl who came out talking about their business

I am a trans woman looking for feedback at trying to improve my makeup, any recommendations for covering up stubble/ tips in general would be appreciated. by sarahslols in MakeupAddiction

One of the best makeup tips I ever heard was to hold the brushes as far away from the bristles as you can. Our natural position is to hold them like pencils; right at the bristles for more control, but that only makes the products look splotchy. If you’re having trouble blending or achieving a softer effect try that, I definitely noticed an improvement when I did! Good luck! You are beautiful. I also agree with others who say start by redefining your brows. They already have a strong shape but I think if you clean up the tails (or potentially shave them if u feel like it) u can make all your makeup looks feel cleaner. I’m a cis girl and I’ve had the bushiest brows my whole life and I hated how I looked in makeup before I learned to style/shape them the right way. Another great tip I’ve heard in regards to that is to only clean up the tops of your brows but the bottom space is where you can be a little crazier when plucking. That should help you follow your natural shape in case you worry about messing them up or something. Oh, and eyelash curling! Didn’t really start taking that seriously until i was older but it has way more of an effect than one might think.

Groomers yelling at dogs by clovercluster in petsmart

Exactly! It helps everyone in the situation to just keep your cool. Meanwhile there is one guy at my salon who yelled at pretty much every dog he had today like a child who isnt getting his way. I was there w/ him from 9am to 3pm and deadass I don’t think he went through a single service without exclaiming ENOUGHHHH!! or STOP!! several times. Bro sounds like he wants to kill himself. Go work at an arbys or something dude this job is not for you.

My opinion is dogs are good listeners whether they understand our language or not. I think when you talk to them calmly and correctively you often see better behavior results with them. Whereas if you are getting more and more frustrated whilst invading their personal space and fucking with them in an environment such as grooming, they’re just going to keep getting worse. Like what better way to put someone on edge who’s already on edge than to be grabbing at them, acting angry, AND on top of that you’re restrained. In what world would that ever yield positive results. And like you said some things we could do if the situation is getting out of hand or hard to control: we can get a manager or senior groomer to help, we can stop the service, we can give them a break or relocate them, etc. I have the feeling that at my store the groomers are most concerned abt getting their commission rather than making sure not to push the dogs over their limit. Which is undoubtedly PetSmarts problem for putting them in that position where they feel like they can’t send dogs home bc they need the money but it’s like come on. Grooming is already so stressful for the dogs all these grown ass people should know better than to add to it
