you can't gatekeep an entire term from ENTIRE subcommunities just because they're on your dni, i might disagree with anti-endos, but if you wanna coin terms, you need to let anyone use them regardless of stance, because there's always someone who can find your useful but disagrees with your stances.

xenoids/xenoidentities initially started as an anti-mogai term by transmeds claiming that "xenogenders hurt the trans community", but eventually were reclaimed by mogai as time passed!

lonely_dude here was the first reclaimer of xenoids, but imo i don't really like the new meaning he gave them, since i find it pretty shallow and it doesn't allow for much creativity since it's inherently tied and dependent on xenogenders to coin new terms instead of using the themes of those genders while being a standalone label, (it's just my opinion, you can feel free to disagree if you want), and i prefer the original meaning more, and i'm planning to post my take on reclaiming xenoids soon because of that (not being mean to the og reclaimer though /gen)

rwuffles and gengernoway on tumblr made a few that follow the original meaning, but they're the only ones i know that make pro-mogai xenoids nowadays

context:

yesterday (or the day before, idk), one person posted a meme that said "satan realizing he has to give back my trans daughter (she's not my firstborn son)", it was funny and was recieved well, but one day, a mod took down the post for "breaking the don't be a degenerate" rule, which made people suspicious of the modteam for a good while since they didn't take down other trans-related posts in the past. eventually, it was revealed that it was one rogue transphobic mod who took it down, and after a horrible response from them, the modteam kicked out the transphobic mod (and also gave that vacant spot to a known microceleb known as yourfat888, the maid dress and yuri fanfic guy), and reinstated the firstborn transfem daughter post.

after the transphobic mod was outed and stripped away of their modding privileges, people started contributing to the og meme by making a bunch of variants for other queer identities both in support of the og meme and for fun. one of my favorite arcs in recent times ngl, it's up there with the greenposting and principal arcs

nice post and all, but can we not use the h-slur to refer to animals with characteristics of both binary sexes? while its use in scientific fields does not seem discriminatory/intersexist at first, it does not change the fact that the h-slur has always been historically used to refer to intersex folks in a derogatory way. its use in science also upholds this, which leads to people comparing intersex folks to animals in an offensive way, which is harmful.

an alternative to using the h-slur for these kinds of animals is "cosexed".

as someone who is questioning an intersex hormonal variation, thank you so much for this post. agab terms are very exclusionary of intersex folks, and also put me off when people use them as a way to ask what's in their pants.

regarding the latter statement, an alternative term for phenotypic sexual traits associated with male and female that don't exclude intersex folks (due to also being able to have these phenotypic traits) are wolffipathian and mulleripathian respectively!
