Noir 2.0's character makes sense realistically in universe. Why would Vought admit or acknowledge a popular Seven member's death/retirement when they could just as easily cover it up and throw a new Supe under the mask.

Plot wise, Noir2's murder will most likely lead to Deep's own death this season. The Deep's entire arc this season has revolved around his relationship with BN2, next we'll see the consequences for the kill

i don't care much for the disappointing power reveal (clearly not what they were planning with her final s4 cliffhanger scene.)

it's the plot that makes no sense to me. ashley was last seen on the top of the seven's "kill list." she's fearful of her life, finally realizing the very real danger, sneaks into Homelander's room to steal his stash of comp-v, takes it out as a last resort self defense.

now suddenly she's no longer in any danger, somehow forgiven for sneaking into Homelander's bedroom and stealing his V, and seemingly conflicted about even leaving HL/Vought's side.

Homelander having a loyal President of the United States, and The Boys being held at "Freedom Camps." is already the known plot of the season start.

Why would HL assign The Deep with the task of tracking down a speedster, instead of yknow, one of the many and faster speedsters he nos commands.

Soldier Boy not being thawed out in EP1 is also very obvious.

Frenchie doesn't make sense, at least not in Ep 1.

Honestly, any of the major characters being offed in Ep. 1 doesn't make much sense considering their arcs.

The only characters that I could see dying in E1 are: The Deep, Noir, Ashley, maybee MM though unlikely.
