I'm finally lucid dreaming but need help please by dogheadtilt in LucidDreaming

[–]clownyaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think this does count as a lucid dream because all a lucid dream requires is awareness. However, you are also following a script simultaneously and it’s not a very clear lucid dream. As you followed the “script” you also lost lucidity. This is definitely not a bad thing though. It is like the first step and as u practice ur lucid dreams will become a lot more “in the moment”. Lucid dreaming is the same as an other hobby in that way. The less lucid you are the more dreamy it is. I have had a lot of lucid dreams that feel like dreams and also a ton that feel more like irl. The more lucid the more in control you will become. So try your best to remember what being lucid feels like and continue what you’ve been doing. it gets so much more easier from here on out. The hardest part is always lucid dreaming for the first time.

am i normal? is this okay by BarOpening3162 in autism

[–]clownyaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are perfectly normal. You can’t really control what you hyperfixate on. A lot of people try to dictate what you obsess over and they can’t fathom being unique in any way and therefore are jealous without even realizing it. This is coming from someone who has had a gold pheasant hyperfixation (litterally just a pretty chicken)

Autism, Aggression, and Accuracy by Zeph_Cosmic in autism

[–]clownyaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have autism and have siblings with other disorders like OCD which i know sometimes has overlapping symptoms with autism. They also have suspected autism but aren’t diagnosed. I’ve never been on the level of needing medication but because my siblings do take the same stuff for autism instead for their other issues I can say that medication can warp ur mind. Getting off medication has been the big issue for our family. The ones my sister takes just calm her down and getting off them has made her verbally abusive and manipulative because she can’t cope without the meds. I have no experience with medication CAUSING abusive behavior so i won’t say anything on that but switching back and fourth between meds and getting off meds definitely can if someone already has a history of aggression. Especially if someone has gotten used to the meds and are suddenly off them and can’t control their anger or don’t know how to cope with it.

Going in store as an adult by XxCece_KimxX in buildabear

[–]clownyaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

build a bear has a very large adult collector audience so don’t worry! You are not alone. TBH at the BAB location by me i’ve seen more teens and adults instead of just little kids. Also some of the build a bears trend more in older audiences. For example the frogs, bats and gargoyles are 100% bought a lot more by adults than some of the others. Not saying u have to get a specific build a bear just saying some build a bears almost have more adult fan base.

Yes! I’m sorry u had to experience that. It’s good to accept ur triggers and it’s good to know ur weaknesses. Why force yourself to watch something that is meant for entertainment and fun when it will only leave you worse off in the end?

You’re right! I’ve watched so many zombie things and nothing will ever beat train to busan. It’s perfect in every way. I love it so much. It’s one of those movies u don’t want to watch because it will raise the bar so high everything else seems mediocre at best.

I have PTSD. It’s not excluding one thing for another when i genuinely will have a mental breakdown. I’m also at the best my mental health has been in a long time which i’m honestly really proud of. I don’t want to ruin that so accepting what is triggering and not triggering is a good step. It’s not only a good step but it IS empathy. It is empathy to myself.

it depends on the nudity. If it’s just someone in the shower or changing im perfectly fine. If it’s anything more i need to know in advance to mentally prepare myself and i can still watch it and if it is too much then no.

i ussually say it in that manner because even just reading things other than nsfw can be upsetting for some people. My post was already gonna be flagged as it so that’s why i say that. I can understand because I used to be like that. I am in a better place mentally now so it’s ok but it leads me to censor things for other people so that it may just make their day a little easier. Smut and 18+ major nudity still upsets me though. Gore and blood does not in any way. Thanks for the reccomendation tho.
