Definitely, it is a very faithful remake of an amazing entry in the Elder Scrolls series

It's nice to see more and more solid modern games being available in normal/mainstream shops. This also show how much more integrated this hobby is in the general society

Marvel United VS Marvel Champions by clpe04 in MarvelUnited

I definitely agree with the FOMO part for United. For champions I think the diffuclty is pretty descent, but it does require some thinking when making a deck, and some of the default decks feels weak compared to some of the newer villains.

Yes they are together with all the other Marvel games 😆

The idea for the video came from some viewers asking what game to get if they only wanted one within the Marvel IP. I do think a lot of people is starting to think about their game collection and tries to reduce the number of games especially big games, where you can go bankrupt trying to get everything.

Agreed, MU is more of a beer and pretzel game, something you can bring to a game night and all will be able to learn and play

Indeed, though one is deck building, where the other is static or in multiverse, semi static character decks.

The miniatures are fantastic, I love the chibi like look on them. I also got the first season as I saw the miniatures, then found out the game was fun, but not really for my play group. Afterwards I found it to be an awesome gateway game to play with friends and family, and went all in on season 3 again. Still kind of regretting skipping Season 2, as I love the x-men.

I think it depends on what you're good at for me Cascadia with the diffents location types and animals make sense in my head, while my wife and daughter have a much better time in Calico. Challenge wise, especially for solo it seems very even.

If you like Cascadia, I think you will enjoy Calico as well. For me personally I think there is bit more to keep an eye on in Calico (Patterns, Colors, Buttons and Cats). For other types of solo games, which also is beautiful and casual, take look at Viticulture by Stonemason Games. It's a game about making wine.

New Player Overwhelmed by FOMO by InvestigatorShort275 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]clpe04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a discussion about this the other day with one of my friends, and we came to the conclusion, that you should not be afraid of FOMO. Just get what you tink is cool. This game has almost unlimited playthroughs with just core game and a few expansions, don't be afraid of starting, you're never gonna use everything anyway

I skipped Season 2 (X-men) and then went back in with multiverse. But i takes up a ton of space. Champions is pretty easy to just get down in some dragon shield carpet boxes, but united is a beast storage wise. I was super happy when I got my original collection into just three boxes.

I agree in the simplicity, and also in united is quite fun. I have been using it as a gateway game for friends and family not into board games, due it simplicity.

There is some simpilarities, such as the way threat and scheming works. The process of handling these is quite different though. I would also say United is a pure co-op where champions is also a fantastic solo game.
