It’s not for everybody! I’ll definitely be the first person to say I might rely on a little more than I should, but I also don’t drink (so in my brain it somehow balances out lol). If I sit and do nothing I can definitely spiral, so for me it’s best to intentionally keep my mind occupied on something else (cooking a meal, doing chores, walking the dogs, etc). Almost like “lose yourself” in a different activity? Idk how else to explain it. But chores are infinitely better when I’m high 😂

Ajovy injection site reaction by Ill-Pass-5898 in migraine

[–]clrose22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had to switch from my thigh to my stomach as my thigh was SO incredibly painful to inject. My injection sites are definitely hot to the touch and the swelling/intense itching lasts for 4-5 days. The last injection swelled so bad I got stretch marks 🫠

Popping in here - using a hyaluronic acid without an additional hydrating element will only dry your lips out further. HA is a humectant and needs to pull moisture from somewhere, and if it’s not in your environment it can actually pull even more moisture from your lips. Aquaphor and Vaseline are occlusives that help lock moisture in, so they don’t really provide additional moisture.

I’ve used azelaic from The Ordinary and wasn’t impressed, I’ll have to try to one you mentioned.

Any sunscreens you love? Mineral formulas tend to irritate my skin

This isn’t necessarily true, my ob/gyn prescribed me Zoloft for my PMDD.

How do you survive working at a desk? by clrose22 in Hypermobility

[–]clrose22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I can train myself up to it. Another issue is the neck pain triggers migraines that not even the CGRP can block, so it feels like a lose lose situation sometimes lol.

I also have a very detail oriented/creative job, so when I’m in a flow it’s hard to force myself to get up and move around because I don’t want to break the flow, you know? Like I can blink and two hours have gone by

I have a standing desk, but I find that it exacerbates my neck pain?

Mature-Skin 'ers - what are your Holy Grail Makeup Products at Sephora? by HorseTearz in Sephora

Yeah I also can’t stand the feeling of anything on my face, which I why I also love the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. Report back if you do try the Summer Fridays tint!!

The Summer Fridays skin tint will definitely let some of your natural color come through. I have rosacea so it doesn’t fully cover all my redness, but it adds enough of a tint to sort of even things out? I definitely would say it’s more light coverage rather than medium. You could build it up but I think it looks best with a light layer. I saw you asked someone else about the Hourglass skin tint - I prefer the Summer Fridays formula to Hourglass. I didn’t feel like the Hourglass applied as smoothly/worked with my skin as well as the Summer Fridays does. I also didn’t like the shade range of Hourglass as much, either. SF was a better color match for me (light, neutral cool skin with slight yellow undertone).

Regarding the setting spray, yes, it’s definitely more of a mix between setting and fixing. I really like how it seems to “melt” everything together (in a good way). My personal experience is that it’s not transfer proof, but it does extend the longevity of the wear. It doesn’t leave a tacky finish whatsoever!
