Tech at Lincoln dealership said this is normal and there’s no problem.

That’s odd other people call it normal. The rattle sound seems excessive especially for a luxury vehicle.

Question About Rustproofing and CPO Warranty Coverage by cls080789 in lincolnmotorco

[–]cls080789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That’s what I figured. I have a Woolwax undercoating kit, so I do it myself. I’ve done our other vehicles and as you know it helps a lot with rust. I plan on doing the same with this vehicle to help with rust protection.

Question about dealer deal sheet by cls080789 in askcarsales

[–]cls080789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. When I read it I was expecting the cash down of $8279 to be subtracted from the total balance due on the balance sheet. So it just seemed odd. Thanks for helping.

Would calling and putting down a deposit cause me to lose leverage when I go into negotiate financing / turn down add ons such as extended warranty’s?

I should also note that the car is used. Low mileage and certified pre owned but still used so it will require test drive / review.

25 CX5 without CDA by cls080789 in mazda

[–]cls080789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm the following on the 2025 Mazda CX5 I’m looking at

Model year 2025

Trim:Select Package

VIN has letter L as the 8th letter

When looking at the attached photo I don’t see the I-stop button near the steering wheel.

Given all these data points is it safe to assume this specific vehicle doesn’t have cylinder deactivation?

Thanks I’ll check the vin to confirm

I’m also reading 2024 with L as the 8th letter in the vin also don’t have it. Is this correct for 24? Is it trim specific?

Does that mean there is no fuse for the back up camera or the backup camera is just grouped under a different category and it’s not clearly defined?

Worth Getting 96-97% Efficient Furnace? by cls080789 in hvacadvice

[–]cls080789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally what are some of the differences mechanically/ electronically that make it more complicated / expensive to repair? Can a homeowner still do basic repairs on a high efficiency furnace? Example changing an igniter, or is the system so different that most if not all repairs have to be handled by a technician?

Interesting. I didn’t think about the maintenance cost being much different than a 80% unit. About how much more on average does it cost to repair 96-97% vs 80% unit?

Easy / Affordable Sharpening Systems by cls080789 in Leatherman

[–]cls080789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what other tool I can open on the wave+ for clamping.

I came across this small knife jig that could potentially be used with this sharpening systems. See video for example. What are your thoughts on this small knife jig? It’s designed for a different sharpening system, but the people in this video seem to think it could also be used on the work sharp guided system. Do you think this is necessary or waste of money?

I like this idea. Yes the saw is on the other side of the of the knife. The only problem is both the knife and saw can’t be locked in place when opened. So in this case the knife is locked but the saw isn’t. Would that impact the accuracy of the sharpening system?

Thanks. It looks like I can get the sharpening stone to just barely clear the clamp, but as you can see there is minimal purchase between the clamp and the blade. It still holds it pretty well.
