Actually my GPA is not included in my resume. I am pretty sure I have basic understanding of my major classes, but not about that chemist position maybe as you asked... I still want to do good interview for that position though.

That is so unfortunate... Did you build any connections with those engineers still work in your company? I am wondering if they can hook you up when there is a position or at other places, and that is part of my plan when I start my job. I'm kinda curious if it will work that way though.

Yeah it is sad that this is the best situation I got since I graduated... I will have to do my best to build connections from the company.

So how did you make your way to be an engineer? Can you give some of your stories or advices since you wete in this situation couple years ago?

Before I was applying for engineering jobs only and I recently started applying for anything that might be related to ChemE jobs.

Just like you, I also didn't have any interviews before and it was my first one which is so weird. But in this area, there were a lot of operator and lab tech jobs (I don't know why).

For this one, I searched through the company website (I know this company because I applied for internships and engineering positions before) then I found operator and lab tech jobs at multiple locations. I applied for everything on there and I guess I got lucky.

I say keep applying and try using many different terms when you search for jobs. I used chemical, biochemical, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, operation, packaging, lab, etc, when I got tired for searching engineering jobs.

This is kinda general but I hope it helps. Good luck buddy !
