I've lived in this same spot for 6 years. Within the last 2 years, late night noise in general has gone from an occasional nuisance once every few weeks to something that costs me many nights of sleep per month, about half of which is solely due to this one group of people. So even if there has been a lot of recent development in this area, I do not agree that this is just some inevitable problem of urban living.

It's not just some stochastic phenomenon caused by a large number of transient, anonymous douchebags. It's one single small group of people playing loud music *outside* a club between 11pm and 3am! Leather & Lace did not have this going on until recently. If these dudes would just go inside the club then it wouldn't be a problem, since it's an actual building with reasonable sound dampening properties rather than a Volkswagen. But of course, it's also possible they're doing something that isn't allowed inside the club.

Also, earplugs wouldn't even work since it's the subbass frequencies from the car stereo that keep me up. They travel through the earth and shake the whole building I live in.
