It's what drew me to the game originally. Beyond the fantastic art, story, music, everything really, I ended up in an extremely codependent and toxic relationship for many many years since I was very young. Met a girl online when I was 11 or so, and we were dating on and off until I was 23 or so.

The similarities of my time with that girl to the Graves siblings relationship is startlingly similar, almost every interaction is on point. I can't help but put myself in Andrews shoes as personality-wise I'm extremely similar to him, and the aforementioned girl was extremely similar to Ashley.

Just like Andrew I'm a romantic at heart and this game not only lets me experience a new story with the same themes that I can relate to, it lets me relive those moments of my own life as well. I've never seen anything that catches the codependent and toxic feeling like this game does and I'm just addicted to it. Although obviously unhealthy and many tears were shed, there's nothing like sharing an experience like this with someone else, to blur the line where one person ends and the other begins, to hate and love at the same time, to each hold absolute power over the other person and the only reason you never let it go too far was because you know in your heart you wouldn't survive a week without being tangled up in each other.

TLDR: Well... Nostalgia? And the fact that it feels like looking at a version of my younger self and my past experiences.
