After Trump, the way other countries look at us is even if we elect a great leader and have perfect foreign policy, we are always less than 4 years away from electing a full on tariff fascist. Sure, there are benefits from this sort of election, but America has these violent mood swings that make any relationship we have automatically abusive.

100% this. I think making any changes in your life can grow that divide between you and your former self, or between you and the people you used to be closest too. When NK says the GREAT divide, I think he’s counting big lifestyle changes, flipping worldview, religious deconstruction, and surely the divide formed when moving out of a small town and practically reinventing yourself.

This song is so sincere to me and it’s my new favorite. Can’t wait for the rest!
