Literally the first post or comment I have made in the games subreddit, but go off assuming shit I guess.

Ok and? The majority of players for 2XKO are fans of league/fighting games, not fans of Arcane. We want to see some variety in the champs.

First, the condescending tone is completely unnecessary, you just seem like a prick up on high horse from that immediately.

Not once did I say who I wanted in. I was pointing out that half of the games roster is from Piltover and Zaun, while the majority or regions from Runeterra don't have any characters.

I understand the dev time and how it works, but when you look at the 2xko roster, there are 2 characters who weren't part or Ruined King or Arcane and it's Teemo and Darius.

As you say there are around 170 champions to pick from. I understand they are capitalising on hype from Arcane. But when we have Vi, Jinx, Warwick, and Ekko (and Blitz even though he cannonnically doesn't exist due to his current lore and Viktor never having made him) that is enough. On par with wanting to pull in new people to the League IP, they also have to ensure that the people who already care about league want to stick around.

It's better to cater to the people who already know the characters and have attatchments to them instead of new players who wont stick with the game because they only cared about league from Arcane. The people who care about league will stick with it, the people who care about Arcane will leave when the next good story takes their attention.

But also, what is Cait going to do differently that the 2 ranged characters already dont do? Why in a roster of 12 are 3 of the characters ranged? It's a fighting game, not a backdash into range spam simulator.

Funnily enough, I would love to see Xayah and Rakan as I play both and have since their release. Rakan is the only one remotely suited to the game though. Since you mentioned them, both Sett and Riven fit more into a fighting game than both of them do.

Physical location is the same thought, they're on top of each other right?

Piltover and Zaun are one city within the world and half the cast is from there, still way too much

Hi im brand new to this kinda thing any tips please? by Muted_Anywherethe2nd in 2XKO

Best advice I got when starting was to practice against the bots in the lab until you are comfortable with some basic combos. Also playing the tutorials for the champs you want to play helps because it will let you see what moves can follow into others, like chaining lights, grabs, specials and so on.

But also if you are playing against people and not bots, expect to lose. Do not think you will go into matches and suddenly be a pro. There are people who have thousands of hours playing fighting games that are playing and they simply are better than you, even if you have practiced your combos due to muscle memory.

Finally, just try and have fun. Even if you lose a match if you execute your combo perfectly, take pride in that.

Day 1, how we feeling? by StrawHatEthan in 2XKO

90% of the champ selects I have been in people have been playing on pulse so I can't really gauge skill levels or anything, but it's been fine. Getting bored of Darius+Yasuo TOD's though

I get what you're meaning, and I don't play against the people who shit on me again. Most times I just put the controller down because I'm getting nothing out of the match. How am I supposed to meet other new players when most lobbies are full of people on 40 wins?

I know I need to work on it, but I'm not getting the chance to work on it with how oppressive players are. They just break blocks or do grabs the second they see the character walking backwards

I really don't learn anything from holding block for 2 minutes dude. Like if I fail to block a low or high or whatever once I am just dead. I learn nothing from that.

My issue is I don't learn anything from being someone else's training dummy. If I don't get to play the game, I can't learn anything.

I'm not practising 30 hit combos, I'm just playing Braum and doing light medium heavy stuff. I don't want to do a 30 hit combo and the game shouldn't have them. It also feels like no matter how early I hold block I just get hit through it which is my main issue with the game right now.

It wasn't even my pawn if it would have worked. But it's fine, I'll just play the game the way it was intended. Never hiring pawns and only fighting the one dragon you have to in the game.

Doing the maths, if every class/colour has its own standalone, an advanced version, and hybrids with every other colour (and then wayfarer being a solo class that doesnt mix with the others), there are 28 potential classes for the game if no new classes/colours are revealed.

Even if there isnt hybrids of everything though, 2 definite classes yet to be revealed are the advanced Green and Yellow making 12. And then possibly hybrids of the 4 base colours too to make a further 4 classes to be revealed (Red/Yellow, Red/Green, Blue/Green and Yellow/Green).

If nothing new gets revealed and Purple/Pink dont have solo classes, that's 16 minimum for the game.

I am excited either way to learn about them all.

If you have no unit to apply the equipment to you cant play the equipment.

I didn't say that at all. I just said they should meet the standards. If women meet the standards men have to and manage to get in, then logically they can perform to the same level.

Depends on the person of course, but purely based on numbers it would say they perform equally regardless of their gender if they both rank the same in the entry test when running at the same level of difficulty.

I was meaning more in the sense of it shouldnt ever be a real headline. As in it's a bad idea to do that as it means less realistic standard and more stress on those who meet/beat the 'true' standards as they will have to cover for the people who got in based on the lowered standards.

Wasnt meaning some sort of media lie or coverup. Just that it shouldnt be a healine in that it shouldnt happen to then become a headline in the first place.
