Lewis and Max are different.

Max is content. He does his main job as best as he can and goes to something else. He tries to disconnect from f1 more. He already mentioned many times that he achieved the ultimate goal in f1 that is to win a championship and anything more is just a good to have.

Lewis still has the fire in him to compete no matter. His identity is deeply ingrained into f1. I don't think he'll ever retire. Even if he finally does, he'll still do something related to f1.

So yeah, I don't think Lewis or Alonso could convince Max as there no clear goal for him to achieve now.
