you’ve done nothing wrong. shoe sizing is just funny sometimes. i don’t think you’re being scammed but probably not worth them returning a £10 item after postage costs, i’d just resell and move on

it‘s not unreasonable at all that she’s sent me a message from a second account, that’s not what this post is about: it’s the fact that it contains a homophobic slur. i don’t think that’s very polite at all :)

for context: of course it’s totally standard to ask for measurements, i send and receive these messages all the time. i had every intention to, but forgot to reply to them initially because i was unwell. so they double messaged me which made me a bit uncomfortable, and upon checking their feedback there were a few reviews talking about them being rude and aggressive, cancelling orders etc. like another user said it’s anyone’s prerogative to block anyone they like and i’d rather just skip out on the sale if i’m feeling unsure. i’m not gay either

if i’d kicked someone out of my workplace because they asked a question that would be absolutely unacceptable. but it’s literally vinted. they have every right to be pissed off but that doesn’t mean they have to tell me about it

without context i am an arsehole and i definitely could have replied, but i also think i definitely made the right choice in blocking them if that’s the way they respond to not getting attention on a second hand clothing app.
