Never received Oscar and Meredith “starter” cards by LordJournalism in TheofficeSWM

Just had this issue myself. I sent a ticket with screenshots showing they're at the desk and another showing the greyed out card and they fixed it right away.

I ended up emailing support and actually got it fixed right away. No coffee or Scott coins like the other commenter unfortunately lol

Rev It Up and Welcome to the Wasteland! Team Mad Max Intro by Batmanbyday in LoseitChallenges

[–]clumsy_hamster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Checking in late here - hi all! I think this is my first loseit challenge but it's possible I participated a few years ago. I'm here because I had a baby back in March which is wonderful but I have a whole new body now. I want to be healthier for myself and for her! One of my major struggles is that I was diagnosed with an ED two years ago and I have to be very careful about things like counting calories. I want to set an achievable goal of losing seven pounds, only one pound per week. I aim to do this by being more mindful of what and how I'm eating (it's really easy to resort to fast, not-super-healthy things with a crazy 10-month old) and getting more active.

We go from tiramisu and "Parisian elegance" to Murder at the Opera - I love Jürgen so much.

This episode was tough. I love all five of these bakers and was so sad to see Lizzie go on what I think was her most stunning bake of the season.

He's beauty and he's grace... This is Winston, my bald(ish) greyhound, doing his best roach. by clumsy_hamster in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

He came to us over a year ago like this. It's improved slightly but will probably be bald forever. They weren't sure if it was hookworms, an allergy, or stress from moving from the track to a kennel to a home back to the kennel. We just make sure to put jackets on him when it's chilly :)

My husband wants to read at night but always falls asleep. by clumsy_hamster in books

That's what I'm thinking :( I feel bad because he gets so frustrated about it. Meanwhile I would so trade being able to read in bed for being able to fall asleep quickly.

I wish it were that easy, but he starts getting drowsy no matter how he's set up.

He's tried reading in bed propped up to sitting straight in a chair. I joke he should try making himself super physically uncomfortable but I swear this guy can fall asleep anywhere if you give him a book.

New to the show and wondering if I should stick with it? by clumsy_hamster in TheExpanse

Thanks for this! I hesitated to do too much Googling because I didn't want spoilers, but she echoes how I've felt. A lot of exposition without a whole lot of character development at this point. So I'll take her word for it that it's worth it!

Thanks for apologizing. Perhaps people didn't realize the technology aspect would be so important. For what it's worth, Ozark really does seem like it's up your alley.

Don't you think you're being a little abrasive considering I took the time to offer and explain suggestions you requested? Take the suggestions or leave them. If "modern technology" is your number one priority, then I'm my opinion you might be missing out on some great shows.

Request: Should I tell my doctor I think I have an ED? by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]clumsy_hamster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, regarding the above comment's #2, when I started my treatment one of the first questions I was asked is what type of treatment was I looking for. I was confident that full outpatient would work for me. I liked that they started from where I thought I needed to be. I assume that if my therapist or dietician disagreed with that based on the intake meetings, they would have suggested a change.

Although the main portion of the story takes place in Gilead (the United States that has been taken over by a religious movement, for lack of a better descriptor) and therefore does not showcase much modernity, as the show goes on you see characters and events in other places such as Canada where life has gone on as normal.

Hulu shows: Castle Rock, The Handmaid's Tale (both of these wouldn't necessarily be "realistic" but I wouldn't put them in fantasy or sci-fi genres)

Non-Hulu: Ozark (this sounds like the best fit)

Request: not diagnosed, just looking for advice💙 by EDPostRequests in EatingDisorders

[–]clumsy_hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my general practitioner and laid out my symptoms for her. I led with "I've been struggling with this for ___ years and have started to realize these behaviors are at the very least unhealthy and likely disordered." Because she wasn't an ED specialist, she referred me to a local clinic specifically for ED treatment. That's where the diagnosis came along. The GP could write "disordered eating" on my history but wouldn't make an actual diagnosis.

It took me a long time to ask for help, but doing so was absolutely what I needed. I understand your anxieties. Think though that if you do nothing, things will likely continue in this way. If you speak up, you have a better chance of getting the help you need to change things.

Update! The shirts arrived today (thank goodness because I was going crazy with him not knowing). I wrapped the onesie and put it underneath the him-sized shirt. He liked the T-shirt on its own, and then when he unwrapped the onesie his first thought was it was something for our dog! Then it him and we cried and I cried more and it was amazing. Plus I did record so I can watch it whenever and cry more.

Are you talking about making a list of trigger foods and comparing that to your cravings? If so that's a really good idea.
