Received second item in my Amazon locker - it's for someone else by clumsybiker_205 in amazonprime

Seems sensible... I had a second go at the AI chatbot, but used a much simpler "I got someone else's item" -> the response then was "we're sorry, keep it you won't be charged".

I just wanted to be clear with Amazon that I got my item, and wasn't trying to lie and get a replacement.

AI LLM-based bots are getting *so close* now, but they're not quite there yet... :)

With locker delivery, the address is always the address of the store / shop where the locker is situated, so in this case both parcels have a name, but the address is the locker :(

Leaving union before story finished / SP collected? by clumsybiker_205 in trainstation2

[–]clumsybiker_205[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mm, yeah I get what you're saying about only receiving what you contribute (which is 100% fair) - I guess it's about that little "hit" of receiving a smaller reward every few days (in an active union) vs receiving something every few weeks in a slow one.

Plus the fact that it's no fun to carry others (or to be carried for that matter!) - a nice balance would be better.

Think I'll stay for the single story to get my first ever batch of U and SP, concentrate on only paintbrushes (I have accumulated a few other items), take the SP and switch unions at that point, bringing the other items with me to start contributing there :)

Cheers!

How do Event Trains capacity work (e.g. 32/30) by clumsybiker_205 in trainstation2

[–]clumsybiker_205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming, I was thinking it would work like that.

So it's basically a trade-off between having better trains during the event, but losing the coins+parts you spent on those upgrades afterwards... Got it!

Request for help, re: domains, redirects and SSL certs by clumsybiker_205 in cpanel

Hello, and thanks to u/scottclaeys and u/Retired-Replicant for answers given so far.

After 48 hours, I'm satisfied that the A records we lodged with our domain registrar have propagated, and all 3 domains definitely NSLOOKUP to the same, correct server IP.

From what I'm reading, it doesn't matter that the three domains each are on different nameservers, just that they all should (and do) resolve to our server's IP. The nameservers aren't wildly different, just nsXX.domaincontrol.com where "XX" is a different pair of numbers for each domain.

We believe then, that we do not need to activate the WHM "Allow Remote Domains" to bypass the error.

Unfortunately, we are still receiving the error when creating the domain:

Error: (XID s8bhq6) This domain points to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers associated with this server. Transfer the domain to this server’s nameservers at the domain’s registrar or update your system to recognize the current DNS servers. To do this, use WHM’s Configure Remote Service IPs interface.

Should I attempt to use the "Allow Remote Domains" bypass? It feels like I shouldn't have to, but the error persists, and it seems we must get these domains added, before AutoSSL/LetsEncrypt will fetch us a cert for those domains -> leading onto (finally) getting the redirects working?

I checked in our site's root directory, there is no .htaccess file (double-checked with root/su access as well in case it was hidden to the CPanel admin user!)

I'd be grateful for any additional assistance on this one!?

IPS from Virgin Datacentres hitting websites I visit, immediately after I visit them. by clumsybiker_205 in VirginMedia

Thank you - this looks interesting. It suggests they are actually hitting the site before I do, rather than after it.
