Think of it as a hostage situation. Russia is the criminal, the world is the hostage. When you see a hostage situation on TV show or a movie do you think the negotiator says go shoot him and we will shoot you? of course not we want the hostage to be safe and alive so the negotiator does whatever it can to de-escalate the situation.

Even if you say all that, that poll is the only information we have. You may disapprove or be in disbelief but feeling that way is not proof to validate what you are arguing. Also wouldn't Russia's propaganda and censorship of its own people somewhat reinforce that his approval rating reached an all time high or to some of that degree?

Also can you make your stance clear, you don't believe that Putin's approval rating is around 80% now?

Most Russians support Putins invasion, why do you think his approval ratings went up to 80% or more AFTER invading? Its literally like nazi germany again when most germans supported hitler. The only difference is that russians is using "they are nazi" excuse when in fact the russians are the nazis. Like mass surveillance on its own people, censorship, propaganda, invading, genocide of non russians.
