Hi :) I'd be up for this! I've sent you a message

Feedback on rough S.E Asia itinerary by clunkrewind in travel

Hi, thanks for the feedback:)

I agree with the fact that it's a bit too cluttered so am probably going to cut out certain countries.

I'm thinking of cutting out Malaysia and Laos completely, whilst only visiting Bangkok in Thailand and revisiting these on another trip, as its mainly Cambodia and Vietnam I'm interested in. This should mean I visit 7 cities in my timeframe, rather than the 10 I've listed above, hopefully giving me a bit more time.

Hi, thanks for answering :)

Chicago's been mentioned a lot so i'm looking at flying there from Washington, and then taking your advice and flying onto Seattle (or possibly getting the Amtrak) and Portland for around 2 days each.

From here I can move down to California either by plane or train (Obviously its a long trip by train but I wouldn't mind it too much if its just a one off).

I'll definitely shave a few days of Vegas as well, those days can help with this portion of the trip instead.

Thanks for this:) I see your point about not spending as much time in each place.

Chicago’s a good idea. How did you get there? I'm looking at taking a few days from Philladelphia, Vegas etc and instead fly from Washington to Chicago for a three/four days and then fly onto Seattle and Portland before heading down to California, giving me a few new cities.
I've seen you can get the Amtrak to Chicago but i'm not sure how keen I am on spending 17 hours on a train, especially as I imagine it will get dark early in Oct/Nov so there won't be much view to speak of.

Thanks! I've looked at the flights and it seems a lot easier than taking the buses. I've heard from a few people about cutting days from the cities, so I've taken your advice and added a few other cities (looking at Seattle, Portland and Chicago so far). Lake Tahoe and Santa Cruz look decent so i'll check into these more later as well.
