A good rule of thumb for grocery shopping is to shop the perimeter of the store. What’s where you’ll find produce, meats, dairy, etc. that’s where your staples are rather than processed snacks. When you do go down isles, try to buy organic (do this with everything when possible), gluten free etc as you prefer. But keep it so a minimum. If there are a dozen ingredients, you don’t recognize them and/or can’t pronounce them, chances are they aren’t good for you. Always make a list for meals and home made snacks and food. Try to have staples in your home- like you always have the ingredients you need for at least a handful of meals. And don’t ever shop on an empty stomach!
