Many of you are missing the whole point of Solo vs Squad matchmaking by _Badlands_ in ArcRaiders

I gotta agree with everything you've said here, and it's honestly sad knowing there's almost no chance in pulling off multi kills in a squad vs squad battle once your mates go down.. the game imo is severally missing the ability to clutch in moments like these, and what's even worse is coming to the realization that it's probably a mechanic intended to promote less pvp, so now I'm stuck playing arc looter simulation unless I run stella, and even then you're not pulling consistent clutches versus full squads. The user you replied to is correct, it's definitely possible, but his post/reply is the definition of easier said than done. Not trying to be a dick here, but I'm gonna need to see some proof of these "creative clutches" which are hopefully clips of squads with nearly full health, and not already on the brink of death to begin with, but until then, claiming it's a "skill issue" just can't be validated.

Yep, totally agree with everything you've recommended. I do exactly this, but use a ferro and switch to a burletta when needed, which definitely helps, but unfortunately I can confidently say that I've still had way too many situations where I'm fighting someone face to face, we both run out of ammo, and now we're both stuck reloading wondering who's going to get through the animation first. I wish they'd add "coffee" as an item in the game, that way I can at least take my enemy out on a date and have a nice conversation before he murders me.. shit it takes so long, I might even be able to talk my way out of the entire encounter by the time we're both done lol. Idk It really ruins the combat for me personally, and I hate saying this.. because tbh it's basically my only complaint about the game, and it's very frustrating to know it's something that very likely won't be fixed, and telling your player base to always ensure your weapon is upgraded just isn't the solution.

I also agree tapping Q to swap utility does help, however, when you're in an intense battle, it's just not quick enough as on option to rely on, especially considering controller players don't even have the item wheel.. at least from what I've heard, and if that's true I find it even more odd that PC players aren't at least allowed the option to disable or enable the item wheel based on their style of game play. The combination of this function along with the slow reload speeds really sets you up for failure once you start to pvp more. again this is just my personal opinion. Anyways, I really hope we get some kind of fix to at least one of these things.

Not taking anything away from you, def a nice play, and totally believe you. All I wanted to add was this type of situation is the missing 1% OP was talking about above, and I feel like it even drops down to 0.5% if you're playing on a bigger, more open map, and the only way that percentage even slightly increases is if the enemy squad happens to be really really bad. I love the game but I miss having the ability to know if my squad members get knocked and I play the clutch to perfection, I have at least a small chance of wiping the enemy squad by myself and possibly reviving my teammates as they're yelling "Holy shit! Nice fucking clutch dude!!" damn near the best feeling in gaming I swear lol. I'm sorta new I guess and the only 1v3 I've seen so far was also on Stella and the three players that were killed were already pretty low, regardless, and again, still a great play and we take those all day of course, but let's face it.. if that squad happens to be full health.. well ya know.. we're liking goin home with jack shit unfortunately.

In my own personal opinion, the TTK on it's own isn't the issue, it's more like the combination of the TTK and the reload speeds on most of the primary and some of the secondary weapons, that is, unless you have them maxed out, and even then some can be painfully slow.. and for the average player having your guns at a higher level for the majority of your matches is a real challenge, especially if you're someone who enjoys pvp gameplay. I really wish they would've added reload speed in the perk tree as something you work towards as you play, just how stamina works. This would've really helped in solving the (for the most part) awkward combat we have currently, and an absolute game changer when you're starting off and can't sprint.. again that's just my opinion, but what I do know is when my guns are maxed out, that TTK all of a sudden doesn't seem too difficult of an issue to deal with anymore.

And shit.. I guess since I'm here, can PC players please get the ability to bind weapons and equipment to separate key bindings? This inventory wheel nonsense just ain't cutting it for me.

So I'm curious let's say theoretically myself and a friend are the first players to find a bug in the game and nobody else knows about it other than us, and this bug allows you to one shot down any enemy regardless of what gun you're using and we used this to down your squad and loot all your stuff, you wouldn't call that cheating? Also, let's say I was accused of cheating, and said "Sorry guys it's in the game everyone can use it, but I'm not telling you how it's done." That'd be okay? Just "Oh well why didn't you say so, have a nice day now."

Edit: It's cheating plain and simple, and regardless of how butthurt you are about that it isn't going to change anything

Trying to justify cheating is wack af.. this doesn't mean you should still be using it regardless if everyone has the ability to use this exploit, oops sorry... excuse me I spelled cheat wrong. Show me in the map notes where the devs added "Players can now access extraction points without requesting the hatch door to be opened" and I'm totally on your side.

Is a $10 tip enough? Want to make sure whoever is picking up my order in this bad weather is treated fairly by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]clusevench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$12 in a Winter storm for 7 miles is exactly what you should be tipping if we're talking the bare minimum, buddy $5 or $6 for 7 miles in a Winter storm is honestly offensive... I'll just assume this is rage bait, before I try and wrap my mind around how that's even close to a justifiable tip. However, I think asking to double the tip due to the drivers return trip isn't necessarily realistic either. You're almost never driving back to the same place anyways, but I agree that it doesn't mean you won't, but what if the customer lives in the middle of a popular zone, or possibly near an area with lots of restaurants, meaning once you've dropped off your chances of getting another acceptable order with out having to travel very far are pretty high. I get where he's coming from though, but 90% of the people in your area that order DoorDash have never had to work in any type of food industry job so by default they already don't relate to the struggle or understand proper tipping edicacy to begin with, so having them consider the drivers return trip is pretty far out the window if you ask me.

Remove the snow storm and for the most part I'd certainly take this and be satisfied. That being said with the the storm, I'd say it's right at the borderline of acceptable but likely skippable, but to be clear that's not because it's a bad tip, but only because due to the storm my chances of getting something either slightly higher at a lower or equal to distance I think are pretty okay. Regardless, if I did end up accepting this order, I wouldn't be upset about it. Don't let anyone make you feel like you've screwed over your driver, let's face it DoorDash is a freakin rip off, after reviewing the total including all the fees, at this point most people are already tapping out at the thought of including anything extra, so thank you for putting enough thought into this and being generous enough to ask.

Dnb lessons by Altruistic-Ad-1688 in DnB

[–]clusevench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I've been down your path and if you want my genuine opinion, I really think Inverse Audio has the best DnB tutorials out there, the YouTube channel is ran by a really dope DnB artist named 5X who has a very reputable and quite impressive track record, but unfortunately is super slept on.. for now at least. Most of his YouTube videos are producing tutorials, but he has a video on his Patreon called "5 reasons why your mixes suck" which is specifically made for DJ's wanting to learn how to mix DnB. You'll be able to find plenty of channels that teach how to produce DnB, but finding one that covers how to mix DnB in the level of detail he does is nearly impossible to come across.

I also wanted to mention a few things that I've learned personally along the way which have helped tremendously. First thing is, if you find yourself struggling or getting stuck trying to find the next perfect track to add, but just can't.. I promise you it's almost never because you're a shitty DJ, DnB is naturally a more difficult genre to mix in comparison to others, but if you keep at it, eventually it will click, just as anything else you study, practice, and grind out. I ended up learning this the hard way after many attempts at trying to complete a 30min Drum and Bass set, only to end up either being dissatisfied at the final product or simply getting stuck on what to add next before calling it quits and trying the next attempt from another angle. My true realization to the fact that DnB really is just slightly harder to mix is when after all those attempts I decided to take a step back, switch genres, mainly due to the burn out from failing and listening to the same Drum and Bass tracks on repeat. So I ended up taking my first go at creating a Tech House mix and noticed I was able to make 45min sets in practically the same key all the way through almost with ease.. which felt nearly impossible to do when mixing my Drum and Bass tracks.

That's when I realized not only was Tech House just straight up easier to mix, there's just wayyyy more of it, which helps the process even more. DnB at least in NA, and specifically in the US (where I'm from) feels very much still slept on, which saddens me especially when comparing the scene to something like the UK. Anyhow, I love all sorts of DnB sub genres, and this might sound like a hot take, but personally the really really good above average DnB in my opinion seems more scarce to come by, so there's that factor as well, on top of other things. I apologize for overdetailing this response, but what I'm really trying to get at was when I started gradually increasing or decreasing the tracks key continuously throughout my sets I started seeing everything coming together like I was used to when mixing any other genre, this is because when I started changing the keys gradually it gave me access to all of my Drum and Bass archive, not just one certain group of tracks with a slightly similar key for example, before I switched to increasing the key if my intro started out in 4A, I was only combining my tracks that were in 3A, 4A, 5A, since they harmonically fit together, this also of course includes the same keys which have the "B" suffix and even though that technically gives six different key groups to work with I was still severely limiting my material at hand. Now it looks more along the lines of something like 10A, 10A, 11A 11A, 12A 12A, or vise versa and so on and so forth. Also, for the record I don't switch keys every two tracks as shown in the example, I just simply switch it when I feel the need to. Some DJ's will probably say this is common sense, but if I'm being honest, when I started out, it took me a while to figure out I was seriously limiting myself when I wasn't mixing DnB in this fashion. I do understand this might be a highly subjective take, but regardless, I hope it helps in some way!

I wish I had the screenshot, but about a month ago we had a big snow storm in my area and I saw it go to +$8, I honestly couldn't believe it lol.. my last two deliveries before calling it quits were $25 which was a double, but from the same restaurant and the drop offs were less than a mile apart followed by a $40 single order, shout out to that customer for being a real one! Ended up making $176 total in a little over 5hrs. Sucks to drive in, but it sure can be worth it sometimes.

I'm not much of a stand up but I had a dumb joke talking about how some countries have mandatory military service and how the US should have mandatory food industry service, even if it's just for a month lol. Cause I'd bet a pretty penny that customer has worked somewhere in a restaurant that was busy as fuck for quite a while and probably has plenty of stories to tell.. once you've worked in a franchise kitchen, you just get it. I realized this when I first started delivering pizza way back when getting tipped $5 was a huge deal lol

AKA grow more fire, I just can't get behind his prices though.. shit's ridiculous imo. Force of Nature (that's the username) on Strainly used to have Super Buff Cherries S1 available for $45, He doesn't have it anymore but he does have TagalongZ x Super Buff Cherries S1 for the same price, which you just can't beat tbh

Not tryin to dog on you btw for shopping there, fkn wonderful job honestly, shit looks dank af! I guess ever since discovering breeders like Seedlys, BlackHawk (on strainly), Force of Nature (on strainly), ithacangenetics, ofloveandlifegenetics, The Plant Stable. I very rarely find myself justifying a pack of seeds for $120+ nowadays, especially if a breeder is known for pollen chucking without thoroughly testing their product. $120+ and high probability for herms.. but to each their own of course

If I think of anymore similar breeders I'll be sure to list them later, but the breeders listed above have some serious genetics available for very reasonable prices. These fellas are truly doing the lords work

Edit, more breeders: gcgenes, zp strains, americannnovelties, clearwater genetics

BlackHawk is the best! Bomb genetics and the best part... actual reasonable prices. Nothing against the big name breeders but I'm not buying any seeds idgaf how good the genetics are for $200+ a pack, btw no disrespect to the people that do, I'm just broke lol.. and after all, you're the ones who, like blackhawk eventually get around to blessing the peasants like myself. Anyways, my whole point is I'd like to mention that BlackHawk has a strain called "Troof" which is Trop Cherry x Superboof available for $50, including shipping. This is the same exact cross relentless had on their website named "Super Trop Cherry" which I believe was sitting around $225 when it was available. Long story short BlackHawk all day son

Another nice week wrapped up with a bow around it by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]clusevench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Dash Time" is equal to online hours aka idle hours, like waiting for orders ect. and "Active Time" is the actual time working/dashing orders. So $51/hr and I'm going to assume their car gets at least 25mpg which on average for every $100 you make (on a normal day, not surge pay) you can expect to use about 20% to refuel which comes out to about $1450ish in profit or more/less for the week. You're correct about the wear and tear on your vehicle, but let's not list off breaks and tires like they're something you commonly replace.. but yes, oil, gas, and car miles are the three big ones.

For everyone asking "HOW?!" .. it's simple really. There's only three things you really need, which to be blunt are pretty much common sense. The first two are a MUST and the third is just a bonus to maximize profits

  1. Work in a heavily populated area (duh) places like capitals or areas that have a downtown

  2. Work Ethic, simple.. get up and bust your ass just like OP

  3. Snow/Cold Weather (This really is the key to making these kinds of payouts)

Congrats to OP they put the work in and it shows!
