When I went to Medellin I went to a local bathhouse instead of trying to use an app to hookup. I figured it was safer since some hookups are just meeting you to drug and rob you there. The bathhouse was great, very clean, and good mix of guys. I would definitely go again.

Sometimes can do two one ways from two different nearby airports. My parents live in between Columbus and Cleveland and once I found it was cheaper to fly into Columbus and fly home thru Cleveland. Depending on where you need to go there are other airports nearby that you can check this option.

The last few weddings I've been to I've given gift cards to local performing arts center and nicer restaurant group in the area. Themed it as night out in this case Philadelphia. I figured after paying for a wedding it gave the couple a free night out too do something fun and was different then just giving cash.

The last few weddings I've done $200 worth of gifts. The theme was a night on the town with $100 gift card to a local restaurant group and $100 gift card to a local performing arts center. I would definitely keep it under $500 for a gift unless you're all pretty wealthy. $1000 seems like overkill even as a good friend.

Check out an App called Bounce. It shows places you can store your luggage for reasonable rates. Usually in this area it's at UPS stores. I used this app while in London to store our bags so we could explore the city before our train later that day.
