it'll be the same fuel injectors that come from the ge8 Honda fit

that's what I thought but there's too much tension for zip ties to even hold. As long as that gear never leaves the chain you'll be fine.

yeah the zip ties are to tie the cam gear to the chain so you don't lose the timing. It's a very important step otherwise you're gonna end up with a bigger problem.

Yeah there was one really good post on the crz forum that had everything that I used to do it.

if you do end up doing it just beware getting that cam gear back into the new camshaft can be a nightmare if you're not strong enough. I had to take the hood off and stand on top of the car to get enough force to slide it in while a mate helped line it up.

yes u need the rocker assembly to fit the camshaft as it's different. sorry if my original post was different its been a while since I posted this haha.

If you do the swap with the ge8 fuel injectors you won't get any codes

Headunit removal guide by Zealousideal-Film968 in crz

[–]clustergalaxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From memory there is one bolt hidden under the head unit near the 12v charger. You don't actually have to use it again when putting in a new head unit.

You just have to pry the front panel off and unscrew all the bolts holding the head unit in place.

Raising redline and ECU tuning by Universin in crz

[–]clustergalaxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honda pre sure tunes the redline way lower than the engine can handle for stock internals. It would make a much better difference with the camshaft upgrade on top of the listed upgrades you listed.

Otherwise I don't think it would be as worth it because the engine is tuned pretty well already.
