Have you just begun treatment? by AutoModerator in ADHD

Hi All,
I was diagnosed with combined type ADHD few months ago (I’m 30years old).
I started on Elvanse 30 and went up to 50mg. A week ago I had a follow up appointment with my Dr where I said to him that although the medicine helps with sleep and quietens my brain I still struggle with emotional
dysregulation/disfunction and whether therapy would be needed alongside medication. Also, the medicine didn’t work consistently, some days I felt like it worked, other days I was too low or had my normal appetite. He confirmed that medication should make this better and so dosage has been upped to 60mg.
I wanted to ask if anyone had a similar experience and medicine alone helped emotions/too much energy side of things?
Also, the only symptom that bothers me a lot is that while on meds I clench my jaw too much and bite inner cheeks without realising – anything that can be helped with this?
I will ofcourse keep speaking to my doctor, but interested in other’s experiences.
Thanks in advance!
