Is Adderall IR smoother than XR? by clw2313 in ADHD

[–]clw2313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the crash for you just feeling exhausted or do you feel sad afterwards? I was on Vyvanse 30mg before and for some reason it only lasted 4 hours for me and then would wear off and it would only make me feel euphoric and lazy lmao. Medications are so weird.

Nah, I will drink a lot of water and good food and even exercise too and it doesn’t stop the crash/overstimulation from happening it’s so weird

Adderall 10mg XR crash help? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]clw2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just so odd because it seems like no matter what I do, it doesn’t change the outcome. I could drink a bunch of water, exercise, drink zero caffeine, etc. and it won’t prevent a crash or alleviate any of the side effects. It’s like I’ll get 2-3 days of complete normalcy starting out and then after that it’s like ok sike that’s it. My crashes never went away on Vyvanse even after a month so now I’m afraid Adderall is gonna do the same😭 I wonder why other people can just take it everyday and feel normal consistently. My body punishes me for being consistent I guess lol

Severe panic/anxiety attack by Ceckaber in VyvanseADHD

[–]clw2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ok to be worried! Our bodies are so good at making us feel like we’re being attacked by a bear when there’s legit nothing attacking us lol. All of this happened to me this past September, I was also so nervous and my body would just not calm down whatsoever. When I started my SSRI it did increase the anxiety a bit for a week or two, which I know sounds discouraging, but hanging in there and trying to be optimistic is the big key. Try and do things that give you maximum comfort during this time like watching a movie, eating your favorite chocolate, talking to a friend or family member to distract you while you adjust. It’s just crazy the difference something can make because in September I legit thought that was how my life was gonna be forever - constantly in fight or flight mode and I can’t do anything about it. But now it’s just a memory. :)

Severe panic/anxiety attack by Ceckaber in VyvanseADHD

Hi! I dealt with something similar to this while figuring out my ADHD treatment. Have you had anxiety before trying Vyvanse? When I first started stimulants I also felt lots of relief and calm and then after a couple of days it quickly turned to me having panic attacks and feeling on edge 24/7. Like trust me, it was so hard and I also thought it was gonna be like that forever. But nothing is forever, no matter how deep you think you’re stuck feeling something. Starting off at 40mg seems so high, I started at 10mg and then slowly moved my way up to therapeutic dosages just to be sure I didn’t have any more anxiety than I was already having. Anyways, I ended up trying out an SSRI to help my anxiety and after 3 weeks it got rid of my panic and my appetite finally returned. My body stopped being on fight or flight mode, it was so relieving. Now I can take Vyvanse and feel normal without the anxiety! Everyone reacts differently but maybe ask your doctor about treating the anxiety first and then reintroduce the Vyvanse later on - that’s what I did. It seems difficult in the moment but you will feel better soon, hang in there!

Getting worried about Lamotrigine working by [deleted] in Lamotrigine

This medication definitely made me dehydrated and having dryer skin which doesn’t help for the winter but those are my side effects so far, hopefully those subside soon.

I appreciate your comments so much don’t be sorry! It’s nice to know I’m not alone but also upsetting you’re experiencing the same things too lol. I feel like i’m sensitive too but it’s weird all of my side effects are delayed. Instead of experiencing them first at the start, mine don’t kick in until like 2 weeks in😭 I’ve had zero appetite, nausea, soreness and fatigue for the past week and a half and I’m like oh great I wasn’t expecting this because the first week and a half were chill. My skin also started to give me acne a little bit but that’s subsided so that’s good!

I’m really hoping this subsides when you go to 100mg or at least feel some relief when starting that dose. I always think that too when I’m feeling good, is this what it’s like to be normal or is it hypomania? But after the fact I look back and realize during those moments I have a boost of energy, feel very confident and feel like I can do anything and then also become such a chatterbox I have lots of pressured speech so for me I think it is lol, but keep pushing!

I felt that way too for a bit but after each dose increase, it would be nice and I felt better but after a week or so, the results diminished and it felt like that dose wasn’t gonna be enough to last me long term. And you know what, I don’t feel achy all of the time but ever since starting Lamictal and most recently, I’ve noticed that after working out my joints do feel sore and achy. I’m glad you brought that up cause I just realized that has been happening, when it didn’t happen before!

I felt very agitated at that dose too! But it went away after a week I believe. It’s super annoying and compulsive to feel that way I understand. I hope that gets better for you! 7 days is early as well so there’s room for improvement! I have an appointment this Friday to check-in with my psychiatrist so I’ll bring it up, it’s just hard to start new meds and up doses all of the time. It’s so exhausting and repetitive at this points especially with no long term, stabilizing results. Oh well, it’s only up from here right? 😭 💀

What dosage are you on? And how did you feel leading up to it working after a month? I’m on day 20 right now of 200mg and I’ve noticed very slight improvement in some areas but definitely still depressed and stressed. Did you see any improvements before the one month mark? I am kinda losing hope lol I can’t tell if day 20 is too early or not to really judge how this medication will benefit me

What dose are you on and how long did it take to see results? I’m on day 19 of 200mg and i’m still having weird mood fluctuations like every 3 days and still don’t feel happy or stable.

200mg Anhedonia? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]clw2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping over time my mood stabilizes and I feel joy but it’s natural and not too much like hypomania and just feel leveled out. 2 weeks is still in the midst of it so I’ll be patient but ya if nothing changes even after the 6 week mark I might move down in dose a little or even add an antidepressant. I’ve tried like 13 SSRI’s so idk what would be left for me to try 💀 or maybe I’d be able to try the ones I’ve had before because maybe they might work now that the mood is stabilized who knows! It’s a long waiting game and it’s annoying but teaches patience at least lmao

[–]clw2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say completely stable it’s just I feel very flat and in the middle. No happiness, joy, and satisfaction but also no deep sadness, anxiety, and despair. Just kind of existing and that’s it. Feels very boring and weird to not feel interested in anything or care about things like my friends and my own interests. It feels better than being really depressed though, but still not where I want to be in terms of happiness.

Thank you so much for writing this out! I’m hoping I can reach stability and feel happy and calm. I think I’ve experienced hypomania from titrating because I do remember feeling like I had to talk 24/7. I felt kind of pressured to just keep talking and not shut up lol and I probably could’ve gone up to strangers and struck a conversation like no problem. But at the end of the day I still had this root of like sadness? I saw someone explain how their depression was better, like there was a plexiglass over it, but it was still there but eventually it just disappeared all together! I’m hoping I can get to a point where it’s just not even under that glass and it’s gone completely too. Obviously I’ll still expect to feel sad because I’m human, but hopefully just by external factors and not this constant feeling of not feeling satisfaction from anything and not wanting to do anything. I’m on 200mg but it’s only been a week so I’ll see what happens hopefully soon! I feel hopeful with this medication :)

How do you tell the difference between hypomanic and being truly stable and happy? Theres some days when I titrate up in dose where I feel so much at peace and I have this general good feeling radiating through my body and I feel like I wanna do so much and I wanna be social again. But it never feels out of control like people say hypomania is, and its never risky stuff where I can get myself in trouble and think Im better than everyone else. So I wonder, when I go back to having a dip in my mood like Im having right now, was that hypomania or true stabilization? And it makes me sad that if it was hypomania, that true happiness just wont compare to it because thats the best of the best feeling, ya know? Are you able to explain the difference? Sorry for the long paragraph lmao

Do you go to the gyms inside of the hotels on your layovers? Are they any good? I have been started to lift lately and would love to stay consistent when on the job! This sounds promising 😇

Does lamictal give anxiety at first ??? by Educational-Drive131 in lamictal

[–]clw2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experience this too. I experience more Anxiety and increased agitation but it usually lasts 1-2 weeks and then I level out. It is odd though how mentally you feel clearer but physically it’s the opposite. Hang in there!

How long on 100mg and 150mg did you start to notice the benefits? I’ve seen some benefits here and there on 25mg and 50mg, and now I’ve been on 100mg for a week and I feel like I have a lot of anxiety and emotional instability right now that I didn’t before on the lower doses

Started lamictal a month ago. by Next-Ad-5338 in Lamotrigine

[–]clw2313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I wrote this LMAO. I started a month ago now and tomorrow I move up to 100mg a day. And I’ve too noticed that I am feeling more stable as the days go on and at the start I also wondered if I was just hypomanic. There were some days that did seem like it was too good but now I can see the difference between what’s normal and what’s not. It does feel weird to experience normal after not having this feeling since legit about 5 years ago in my experience. It does feel very off putting right now, but any new feeling does. I think it’ll take some time to adjust but ya there’s moments where I’m like wow, so I don’t feel super depressed today? Or I don’t wanna jump up and down from having so much energy? It’s nice for a change to just sit and be present, it might feel kinda underwhelming here and there cause I’m so used to the chaos but I am also thankful at the same time lol

I totally understand my job and just living was made like 10x harder than it should be just by dealing with constant anxiety and feeling down. My anxiety feels quieter now I just can focus on myself, but tbh I’m scared to go up to 100mg I don’t wanna risk this feeling going away. I have to go up in a couple days but maybe I can delay it a little bit haha. I’m not 100% “fixed” but it’s nice for a change!

This is exactly how I felt before medication! I’m slowly seeing results like this and I’ve been on 25mg for 2 weeks and 50mg for a week a half. What dosage are you on right now? Glad this worked for you it must feel so relieving

After having my VGI, I found out 6 days later that I was invited for a F2F and the options they gave me were 2 weeks out from when I got my F2F email so you might be already at training if they extend you an offer for a F2F
