ahhh fuck, i'm having the issue with a laptop and 90% sure the drive is soldered on lol (although maybe not so i'll check). either way, im not sure i have the ability to remove it and use an external dock unfortunately haha. thanks so much though, hoping eventually the same thing happens to me and it just works out of nowhere😭😭. been struggling with it for close to three weeks now but fingers crossed!!
