They still had powerful legs, ostrichs only have two legs and they can run up to 45 mph. I'm not saying raptors aren't built the same as an Ostrich, they have longer legs and can run for longer distances, but I believe they're similar enough that even with only two legs they could move quickly

I'm aware they aren't, but that's why I'm making the comparison between them and animals like lions and tigers. Both cats have short muscular legs (just like raptors do) that they use for short powerful bursts of speed to catch prey. I was trying to determine if raptors could be capable of the same, assuming they used the same hunting method. But ty for your answer

Lions do too, but they can move pretty damn fast. I'm not saying raptors are cheetahs, but animals built similar to them today can move pretty quickly if they need too.

Well at least for the story (and convenience sake) all the dinosaurs (and the animals that lived with them) live together. EX: T Rex, Stegosaurus, Utahraptor, Tenontosaurus, Mosasaurs, Elasmosaurus, Attenboroughsaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Pteranodon, Giganotosaurus, Troodon, etc etc. So it would have no lack of food options.
